Rainy day. We called clubhouse to see if they wee still open (that is how much it rained) yes they were. We had afternoon tee time. We get there and we are the only vehicle in the parking lot. Had the course to ourselves. Stopped by the clubhouse about 4pm for a cold drink everything was closed. The pro shop could not even sell us a drink, they had just closed their register. Course was in great shape and having it to ourselves was excellent. could have used just a little more customer service. Would not hesitate to reply this course.
Was excited to play this course again, as I played it back when it first opened. Course was empty in the morning and I played with just my partner. Course was in great shape and played long from the whites. My only complaint was that the greens were top dressed with sand, so they were very slow. Lots of sand on the ball and putter. Worker stated they were preparing for start of the season in 1 month when traffic is large. Back nine is definitely tougher than the front. Greens sizes vary, some are quite small which add to the challenge. I prefer greens of medium to large size. When you combine this with the many sand traps protecting the greens, you have a recipe for high scores. Would definitely give this course another try.
It is a nice course but it wasnt in pristine conditions.
I love this course. The 18th hole is amazing you feel like you on on the tour. This course has made it into our annual trip.

A great track that is maintained extremely well. A good mix of water and sand make it somewhat challenging however, not unfair. The greens roll very true and are fast for the region. I would definitely recommend trying it if you're in the area.
Not very good. Course design was good but condition wasn't. A lot of weeds, rough fairway and pitted greens. Not up to TPC standards. Disappointing.

About Eagle Trace
Eagle Trace, built in 1983 as the second TPC course in a network the PGA TOUR started developing around the United States, is now a member of the Club-Link family of outstanding golf courses. Members and guests will find six sets of tees to challenge their games. From the championship tees, the course plays to more than 7,000 yards while the most forward tees are just more than 5,100 yards. The layout has some unique characteristics for a Florida golf course, including an island green, three greens surrounded by wooden bulkheads, and it doesn't have a single palm tree on the property - a rarity in southern Florida. All four par-3s require precise tee shots as water and bunkers protect each green. The signature par-4 13th hole demands a well-struck tee shot to find the fairway as out of bounds and water protect both boundaries of the hole. And the par-4 18th is perhaps the best finishing hole in Broward County as it can be stretched out to 470 yards. Eagle Trace hosted the Honda Classic from 1984 to 1991 and then again in 1996. Eagle Trace currently plays host to the Champions Tour Q-School Final Stage every other year.
