Curtis (Atlanta, GA)
Good course and condition but lacks ambience. Views of construction, power lines, street traffic.
Peter (Northeast )
Very nice course, very friendly staff. We played just before the over seeding. Facilities are great, range, food etc.
James (Owings Mills, Md.)
Good course and though a tournament was underway, staff got us on the course with little problems.
Charles (Carlsbad, CA)
Always fun to play the ASU course. Tough track but fair. Heard it might be closing so play it soon.
Chris (Chicago, IL)
Very nice course. ASU had a private event that day but still made us feel welcome. Conditions of course were very well taken care of and the service was excellent. Will return again.
Fun playable course in a less than lovely location.
Very good but fair test of golf. Course was in good condition. Greens were quick and ran true. Fairways generous enough for the odd stray tee shot. Tough par 3's. Slightly blighted on the visual front with electricity pylons running through the course. Staff at the course very friendly and professional.
Play this while you can as I understand it is destined to be developed with a new course to be a few miles away. By the third hole you know it is a Pete Dye course and if that is your desire then worth the quick hop from the airport to play.
Very good course they moved people very well
Bob (Schenectady NY)

About ASU Karsten Golf Course
The ASU Karsten Course was designed by the master himself, Pete Dye, and was named after Ping founder Karsten Solheim. PGA greats like Phil Mickelson and Paul Casey fine-tuned their skills on ASU Karsten, as it was their home course during their collegiate careers at Arizona State University. The links-style, par 70 course is known for Dye's signature mounding and creative bunkering. Rated 4.5 stars by Golf Digest's Best Places to Play, the facility also offers a first-rate academy and Ping Learning Center with state of the art fitting equipment and swing analysis. The signature par 3 16th hole is a Pete Dye special. It has a similar feel as the 17th at TPC Sawgrass, as water protects the front and entire right side of the green. Well-placed bunkers guard the left side of the green, so your shot will require a good line and the right club selection to walk away from it unscathed.
