About Timacuan Golf & Country Club
Situated just 15 minutes north of downtown Orlando in Lake Mary, Timacuan Golf & Country Club has been ranked "14th Best in the State" by Golfweek Magazine. The course winds through beautiful lakes and wooded areas. The second hole is rated as the "most challenging in Central Florida." Designed originally by Ron Garl, Timacuan was renovated by TPC Architect Bobby Weed in the late 1990's. Fall 2013 will introduce new renovations featuring Mini Verde Ultradwarf greens, new tee boxes and an up-dated clubhouse and banquet facility. The course features two very different nines: The rolling front nine is links-style with deep pot bunkers. Watch the wind and keep it low! The back nine is tree-lined with lots of pine and feels more like a Northern course. It features several doglegs you won't forget. * "Most popular course to play" Orlando Sentinel Readers Poll * US Open qualifying site 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 * AJGA host course 2015, 2016 * Hole # 2 voted one of the best 18 holes in Orlando area
