Grand Cypress Golf Resort's New Course
Scottish Links style course that has hosted 8 LPGA Tour events including 2010 & 2011 Tour Championships:
The New course at Grand Cypress Resort is one of Orlando's best golf courses and is a popular favorite for golfers in central Florida. This course allows golfers to go back in time to the golden days of golf. A true Scottish links experience awaits golfers on Jack Nicklaus' tribute to St. Andrew's Old Course. Nicklaus has truly brought the Scottish Links to Florida golf -- complete with 12-foot pot bunkers, double greens, a snaking burn, pot bunkers as deep as 12 feet and even the old stone bridge. This course, with its steeper and more challenging bunkers and slopes adds another dimension of play and places you in the midst of an open meadow. Limited trees on the course offers generous landing areas on the Bermuda greens, strategy is key in avoiding the 150 pot bunkers.
Grand Cypress Golf Resort's North South East Courses
Three distinctive nines, the East course features Grand Cypress' famous Island Green:
Grand Cypress offers some of Orlando's finest golf. Forty five holes of Nicklaus' championship golf are featured in this unique layout. The North, South, and East Nines offer a variety of mental and physical stimuli that test accuracy rather than strength and distance. The original North-South combination, marked by sharply edged fairways, tall shaggy mounds, and plateau greens perched above water or sand, is a demanding, target-style test. The sportier, more wooded East Nine is more generous, with less bunkering (particularly in front of the greens) allowing for more run-up shots. Within the 27 hole combination, the golfer will find three uniquely challenging and rewarding 18 hole masterpieces. For the full round of 18, courses can be combined as the North-South, South-East, or East-North Course. Each combination provides a distinctive playing experience, which will challenge even the best of golfers. Your Grand Cypress golf experience is enhanced by complimentary valet, use of all practice facilities and lockers, range balls, club storage and on-course GPS navigation.
