South Course 7153-74.8-136 6690-72.2-133 6206-69.9-123
North Course 7226-74.9-134 6863-72.9-131 6299-70.2-124
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club is a "must play" course in Florida. Surrounded by rolling hills, this spectacular 36-hole facility was rated as one of the "Top 10 New Upscale Courses" by Golf Digest and for the third year, host of the second round PGA TOUR Q-School. Located a 20 - 50 minute drive north of Tampa (depending on your location), Lake Jovita is also just 70 miles from Orlando. The par 5, 11th hole of the South Course, features a 94-ft. elevation drop from the tee to the green 559 yards away, the largest natural elevation change on any course in the state. The North Course, with its fast true greens, boasts even more elevation changes than its sister course. Players standing on the second tee box can see for miles. Lake Jovita offers several stay-and-play packages, as well as daily tee times for those not staying on-site. Visitors can stay at privately owned three-bedroom/two-bath Club Villas overlooking the 18th green. Each villa provides 1,734 sq. ft. of space, including four queen-size beds and kitchen amenities. A 32,000 sq. ft. clubhouse and a 15-acre practice facility complement the courses. A chipping area, bunkers, a one-acre putting green, and separate space for private lessons make up the practice facility. Guests enjoy the Mediterranean-themed clubhouse perched on a hill with a veranda overlooking the 9th and 18th greens. Other amenities at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club are state-of-the-art Har-Tru clay tennis courts, fitness center, and a Junior Olympic-size swimming pool and fabulous dining for lunch and dinner.

12/6/2009 - Both courses are very enjoyable to play but not easy.
Posted by Bill (Chicago, IL)
11/5/2009 - A difficult course with very fast greens. If you are not sure what tees to play, opt for the shorter ones. Only complaint is the course was not marked on scorecard or on markers on tee box, making it difficult for the first time golfer to visualize holes. Posted by Bob (The Villages, FL)
6/25/2009 - Great course but the top dressed the greens which made it not the greatest. Posted by Dennis (Palm Bch Gdns, FL)
6/3/2009 - Great course. Not your typical Florida flat track. Some good elevation changes. Greens in excellent shape even considering the drought conditions the area is seeing. Posted by Charles (Rochelle Park, NJ)
6/1/2009 - Fantastic course. My group would rate this #2 behind only TPC Tampa. Posted by Carl (Wilmington, MA)
5/14/2009 - Excellent course and facilities, will recommend to others. Posted by Richard (Saffron Walden, United Kingdom)
5/7/2009 - Both courses are great. Very fast greens. Service was good, except snack bar and beverage cart could be better.

4/20/2009 - nice course, would play again. Posted by Rainer (Dexheim, Germany)
4/20/2009 - Great courses, played both. Loved the hills and the different designed holes and differences between the N & S. Only issues, club house employees NOT friendly. I guess you must be a member! Posted by James (Mequon, WISCONSIN)
4/19/2009 - Played both the North and South courses and liked all 36 holes. Pretty difficult but good conditions and really nice staff. Greens were a bit iffy in places but overall good experience. Posted by Steven (Jonesborough, TN)
4/16/2009 - Excellent course! I would play it again when in the area. Perfect - fast - greens. Posted by Anthony (Vernon, IL)
4/14/2009 - a pair of jewels. very nice layout and great greens. Posted by Rick (Bradenton, FL)
4/9/2009 - Fast greens and course was in good condition. Our group preferred the South Course over the North. First course I've ever been required to tuck my shirt in. Posted by Jayson (Aurora, CO)
4/9/2009 - Not the level I expected. Greens were poorly maintained, staff was less than helpful and there is no turn on one of the courses. They neglect to tell you that before you tee off. I won't be going back there. Posted by Michael (Rochester, NY)
4/3/2009 - What a setting, excellant views a clubhouse to die for, nice fiendly people. Enjoyed most of the course even in the wind which on every tee was always in your face ! Posted by Chris (East Yorkshire, UK)
4/2/2009 - Nice Course. Definitely the best in our package. One of only 2 out of the 5 courses we enjoyed. Would recommend.

3/27/2009 - Very enjoyable courses. The north course is in great shape and we really enjoyed it. The south course was a bit more ragged and a bit more of a challenge, but we had fun there too. This is a great place for those who want to play 36 in one location. Two minor complaints: the snack bar area (and restrooms) for grabbing food at the turn are pretty lame. I'm sure inside dining is better, but the outside snack area was bad. Second, our morning round ran late, leaving us what we thought was 40 minutes until the afternoon tee time. I went to check in at the pro shop for the afternoon and was told our tee time was 12:40, not 1:00. That gave us ten minutes to grab lunch and go. I showed him the TeeTimes voucher stating a 1:00 afternoon time, and he told me he didn't care what the voucher said. Happy ending though - I went to the starter and explained the situation and he told me not to pay any attention the guy in the pro shop. Still, who needs the stress? Overall, Lake Jovita is now on our must-play list every year. Posted by Robert King (Silver Spring, MD)
3/26/2009 - Wonderful course that we would definitely play again. Great terrain and conditions!! Posted by Nick (Virginia Beach, VA)
3/17/2009 - Just a pleasure to play. Course always in great condition. Posted by Arthur (Bridgewater, MA)
3/13/2009 - The dry weather has really taken away the beauty here. We played the north course on a windy day. Play was slow. Some of the forced carries were nearly impossible. The greens were okay. Posted by Ross (Elmhurst, IL)
2/25/2009 - Played both the North and South courses on the same day. The North is a must play and a fantastic layout. You can't wait to see what the next hole offers and are sorry when the 18 is over. Fast greens and in good condition. The South is also a good layout but I would choose to play the North if you are only playing one round. Clubhouse staff must have been having a bad day, but the cart lady was great. Posted by Stephen (Central Islip, NY)
2/24/2009 - The course is an hour and a half from Orlando but has 36 holes, a nice facility and is worth the drive to play. We ran into a frost delay this year so we will probably go back next year to see it again. Posted by Leo (Kent, OH)
2/16/2009 - Played South course, good layout, burnt out fairways and rough. Greens fast but not enough green grass to control. Bad food service as they ran out of hot dogs and sandwiches at the turn. Average is best I can do here.
2/5/2009 - Very nice course. Some of the fastest greens I've ever putted on. I'd love to play it during the summer. Posted by Chris (Northlake, IL)
1/31/2009 - Great facilty. No question the best greens we played on all week. Posted by Richard (Malden, MA).
1/30/2009 - Excellent course, a must to play. Green very difficult, high speed. Very quiet, semi-private course, would come back again. Posted by Marco (Haarlem, Netherlands)
1/29/2009 - Outstanding golf courses and staff. Great conditions and layout. Posted by Gary (Quakertown, PA).
1/22/2009 - The best of the four courses. Posted by Henry (Middletown, NJ)
12/22/2008 - Good fairways, greens and staff, But maybe too many bunkers. Posted by Thorkil (Erslev, Denmark).
12/18/2008 - Course was in great shape. Very fast greens. Pro shop staff, starter were very professional. Very enjoyable experience. Posted by Dewayne (Findlay, OH).
11/24/2008 - We loved the courses and they were in good shape. Posted by Bill (Chicago, IL).
11/20/2008 - I really enjoyed this course because it was fair to someone with my ability. Posted by Mark (Appleton, WI).
11/20/2008 - Great course. Range. Posted by Steve (St. Catharines, Canada).
11/10/2008 - Very tough course that is a joy to play. Great practice ground. Very helpful staff, they were so pleased to see you. Posted by Colin (Ethorpes, United Kingdom).
5/29/2008 - Played both North and South courses and both are a must play! Posted by David (Flagler Beach, FL).
5/22/2008 - Excellent facility. Geens on South course were being aerated so the greens were less than desirable. We played the front nine on the North course and those greens were excellent. Would have been nice if the staff told us. Posted by Carl (Wilmington, MA).
5/19/2008 - Staff was outstanding. The South course greens had been aerated and first were told that the North was "booked". We were able to get out on the North course with a short wait. It was excellent. Greens VERY FAST. A little pricey but worth it. Posted by Patricia (Shoreham, NY).
5/13/2008 - Very nice. Posted by Dan (Louisville, KY).
5/8/2008 - The course was very nice and challenging. My group was very happy with Lake Jovita and would likely play it again. Posted by Joe (Carnegie, PA).
4/28/2008 - A little hard to find, but worth looking for. This seems like a course that is in the wrong state. Most Florida courses are very flat. This course has several significant elevation changes. Also in very nice shape. Posted by Paul (Itasca, IL).
4/20/2008 -Beautiful course, in great shape. Posted by Denis (Chepachet, RI).
4/18/2008 - Excellent course - great condition. Posted by Rick (Harrisburg, PA).
3/27/2008 - The North course was moderate. The South course was much nicer and more challenging. Posted by John (Trumbull, CT).
3/2/2008 - This was the nicest facility we visited this trip. It is first class all the way. The staff worked with us to be able to play the South course. Thanks to one of the members, who suggested that we push to play that layout. The practice facility was excellent and like many high end courses was included in the package. A must play if you are in the Tampa area. We would have liked to play both courses but it was a travel day for us. We will go back when we are in Tampa. Posted by Gary (North Chili, NY).
2/28/2008 - Played both courses and they were excellent. Entire course staff went out of their way to make our day really enjoyable. One member of our group forgot his rain gear and the pro let him use his. Posted by George (Tampa, FL).
2/7/2008 - Both of the Lake Jovita couses are "must plays", great layout with outstanding greens. Posted by Ted (Bellmore, NY)
2/3/2008 - Great course and really pleasant staff. This track is better than World Woods. The staff is nicer and the condition is much better. I would play here again before World Woods. Posted by Joseph (Newtown, CT).
2/1/2008 - Nice golf course. Posted by Lewis (Gordonsville, VA).
1/10/2008 - Nice courses, nice area, but greens are a little rough. Pro shop staff very hospitable. The food and beverage area left a lot to be desired. Posted by Paul (Peterborough, Canada)
12/28/2007 - We felt it was not worth the money charged in comparison to the other seven golf courses we played. It is nice but at $146.00 per person I expected more. In comparison to the other golf courses we played, the people in the pro shop seemed not very friendly. For that kind of money, it makes a difference. Posted by Albert (Harshaw, WI).
12/12/2007 - Pricey, but worth it. Two great courses. Among the best (and fastest) greens I have played anywhere. Posted by Timothy (Mclean, VA).
