8/20/2009 - Great golf course. Conditions were fantastic even after torrential rain the day before. Greens a little slow which was a surprise but apart from that a "must play". Hopefully we get to play the "gold" course next time. The only minus was the $50 extra dollars for the second golf cart, other golf courses charge between $20 and $35. Somewhat narrow and it takes the driver out of your hands on many holes, which some people may not like. Snack shop operation was problematic. Beautiful clubhouse and pro shop. Designed by Aussie legend Greg Norman, Tiburón is fast and true with no rough and all of the turf maintained at one-half inch or less. Even with all of its exquisite amenities, Tiburón's main attractions remain the golf courses themselves. Golfers enjoy the uniqueness of fairways lined with pine straw instead of conventional rough, stacked sod wall bunkers, and red-orange coquina sand waste bunkers. Following Norman's philosophy of maximizing the natural allure of the land, there are no contrived undulations or plant life not native to the area.
