2/12/2010 - Call it a "Residence" course. Tough but not unfair. Clubhouse is very simple. For the money it's worth it. Would not go back as part of a golf vacation. Posted by Jack (Thornhill, Canada)
2/12/2010 - Some of the most elevations I've ever seen in Florida. Nice layout and does play long when windy. Posted by John (Martins Creek, PA)
2/11/2010 - Course not well maintained. I will give them benefit of the doubt because there had been so much rain prior to our arriva. Posted by Edward (Annapolis, MD)
2/11/2010 - This was the best course of the the three that we played this year. Staff was friendly and we had a great time playing Highlands. Posted by Keith (Schenectady, NY)
1/28/2010 - Wide open, the guys like this course.. and the fruit was good. Posted by Jerry (Clayton, DE)
1/28/2010 - Not much for accommodations in the clubhouse and a little under-staffed. The grill and proshop share the same area and personnel. Limited menus - hot dogs and sandwiches and very little seating, but tables outside. Track is not our favorite - goofy huge bunkers everywhere, some blind T shots and a sand wedge Par 3. Layout and greens fair. Don't think our group will be back but they do offer a 36 hole special. We got all 36 in starting at 8am and 1pm. Posted by Mark (Schererville, IN)
12/12/2009 - Always a pleasure to play, the course was in very good shape from teebox, fairway to green. The staff was as usual very nice and helpful. Posted by Bengt (Svedala, Sweden)
11/19/2009 - Great course and great views. Will definitely come back to this course.
10/8/2009 - We had a great day at Highlands Reserve. Course presented very well and staff very helpful. All 12 of us enjoyed it. Posted by Joseph (Dublin, Ireland)
4/9/2009 - Course was OK, not great. Greens needed some work, rather bumpy. Fairways were not greened up I guess you have been pretty dry. We may book this again next year. Not sure. Posted by John (N Royalton, OH)
4/4/2009 - Pretty wide open, not very interesting to play. Not in very good condition in comparison to others we played. Posted by Ivan (Kingston, ON CANADA)
4/2/2009 - Our group enjoyed this course as a great warm up round. Coming from the northeast and being our first round in 5 months, the open fairways and great tee to green conditions were a warm welcome. The staff was very friendly as well. Posted by Lionel (Cranston, RI)
3/29/2009 - Real interesting holes with elevation changes. Greens weren't the best but layout made up for that. Posted by Jack (Lake Ariel, PA)
3/27/2009 - The course was ok but felt conditions at the others we played for equal price were in better shape. Friendly helpfull staff. Posted by Paul H. (Bethlehem, NH)
3/20/2009 - This was a nice course with very friendly, helpful workers. I had a great time. Posted by Mike (Canton, OH)
3/19/2009 - Play this course and you will wonder if you're really in Florida. There are many elevation changes, waste bunkers, and pine trees. It can be especially tough on a windy day. Posted by Brian (Bedford, NH)
3/19/2009 - The course is very scenic with sloping fairways. The bunkers were not well kept. The greens were okay. There were no amenities at the clubhouse. A nineteenth hole would be nice. Posted by Dan.
3/17/2009 - The layout of the course is very good. Good combination of holes. Greens large and very challenging with large slopes. Found course very dry and fast on our visit. Lots of sand. Overpriced for the condition of the course. Posted by Chri
3/12/2009 - We waited on every hole on the front nine. The course was selling tickets for a charity, which backed things up after hole ten. Then, a "ranger" harassed us for slow play, although we never held up the foursome behind us. We'll never go back to this course. Posted by John (Newfane, NY)
3/12/2009 - Highlands Reserve is one of our favorite courses to play. Its location is great. The layout is long but forgiving, which is great for those who haven't swung a club in months! We'll be back again. Posted by Craig (Indianapolis, IN)
3/12/2009 - I enjoyed the course and had much practice playing out of the sand! The management was friendly and helpful. Posted by Robert (Lewiston, NY)
3/12/2009 - The weather was tough for us but the clubhouse personnel were most gracious. The course was in good shape with tree-lined fairways and February greens. Posted by Ray (Ann Arbor, MI)
3/6/2009 - The golf yardage book is a definite help. The rangers helped move play along. I'd give it a seven out of ten. Posted by Russ (Brookville, PA)
2/28/2009 - Always a good course to play. Easier than most that we played in the area but enjoyable. Great staff that will accommodate all your needs. Posted by Allen (Plymouth, MI)
2/23/2009 - A comfortable course to play. Well kept and fun.
Posted by Nelson (Titusville, FL)
2/18/2009 - Course is average at best and well over priced. Staff was friendly and appreciated our visit. Plenty of better choices for the money.
2/14/2009 - Very nice course. Our group of 8 all liked it and will play again next year. Course was in good shape with undulating greens and lots of sand and waste areas. The course was a fair test. Posted by Mark (Grassie, Canada)
2/12/2009 - A nice community course to play. Looks wide open but the sloping fairways can get you in trouble. Nice pace of play
Posted by Edward (Annapolis, MD)
2/5/2009 - What we expected. We've played several times before.
Posted by Tom (Penfield, NY)
12/24/2008 - A very average course. Would not play it again.
12/18/2008 - This course was surprisingly fun. I didn't know what to expect but was very pleased with the layout and course conditions. It was an enjoyable day. Pace of play was perfect, never waited for any shot. Posted by Normand (Lutz, FL).
12/18/2008 - I am a high handicapper and enjoyed the course, it suited my game. Posted by William (Smithfield, RI).
12/11/2008 - Open and reasonably wide. As it is elevated there is no water on the course. Rare thing in Florida. Not our first choice. Posted by David (Gravenhurst, Ontario).
12/8/2008 - Great warm up course for a four day golf binge! Very open but still challenging. Friendly folks....will play again.
Posted by Frank (Chesapeake, VA).
12/5/2008 - Typical resort course. Good condition with nice greens. Not a great test of golf for low handicappers and some silly green undulations. Only played it because our acccommodations were onsite. Overall the worst course we played by a long shot. Posted by Golfatron (Kildare, Ireland).
11/14/2008 - Average course, some nice holes through the trees, too many wide open holes! Posted by Jeff (Mississauga, Canada).
11/7/2008 - I liked this course the best. First time but not the last. Everyone there was great and friendly. Posted by Richard (Norwalk, CT).
10/9/2008 - Golf course was in good shape. Greens were very fast and difficult to stop the ball on approach shots. Challenging layout with plenty of traps. Good value for the money. Posted by Richard (Bluffton, SC).

3/25/2008 - Very happy with the course and the staff. We will consider keeping it in our plans for next year. Posted by Dan Beatty (Welland, Canada).
3/23/2008 - Great golf course and staff. The night before we played the area got 2.5 inches of rain, we had a 7:30am tee time and you would have never known that it rained the night before. The course was in great shape, excellent drainage. we were allowed to drive the carts on the fairway. Of the three courses we played on our weekend trip, this unanimously got the vote for the course we would like to play again next year. Posted by Donovan (Bronx, NY).
3/20/2008 - Loved the elevation changes. Great visuals for most landings areas. Greens were quick and undulating and putted smoothly. Decent driving range. Overall ambience of facility was less than expected. Posted by Gary (Lexington, MA).
3/12/2008 - Nice course. Lots of hills and valleys. Very fast greens. No water. Lots of sand. Many fairways are lined with houses, but the fairways are still wide. Tee times are too close and the course is over booked, causing 5+ hours per round.
3/12/2008 - Enjoyed the course very much and found the staff very helpful. Posted by Nancy (Perryville, MD).
3/10/2008 - Very wide open course. Kind of a pleasure after all of the tougher courses. Posted by William (Saginaw, MI).
3/1/2008 - They were very accommodating to us. Our flight was late landing. We called the course, and they moved some groups around to still get us in before the sun set. Course was in very good shape. Very challenging, especially with the elevation changes. We will be back. Posted by Mark (Kiel, WI).
2/29/2008 - Staff was very good, course is a pretty wide open course. Hard to lose balls here. Very good course for all abilities. Would love to play again. Posted by Ray (Fayette City, PA).
2/28/2008 - Older course with heavy play. Challenging, but much like public courses back home. Fairways were in poor shape on many holes.
2/28/2008 - Older course with heavy play. Challenging, but much like public courses back home. Posted by Richard (Kentwood, MI).
2/27/2008 - Great course for the beginner or average golfer as it is a golfer friendly course. Not a terribly challenging course if that is what you are after. Posted by Richard (Indianapolis, IN).
2/26/2008 - Highlands Reserve is a B+ course. Posted by Vincent (Abingdon, MD).
2/7/2008 - Good course for the money. Nice to play a course with some elevation changes. Wished they had done a little more overseeding for the winter. The general condition is very good.
Posted by Paul (Westborough, MA)
1/26/2008 - Loved Highlands Reserve! The terrain was completely different than any of the other courses with plenty of rolling hills. Also, a very good value. Posted by Jay (Decatur, IL).
1/14/2008 - Good golf course with extremely fast greens. Many sand traps are surrounding each hole. Also very pleasant to see all the orange trees along each hole. It was a nice relaxing course. Posted by Rachelle.
03/06- "What a course! Reminded us of northern courses. Rolling
fariways, difficult greens, lots of sand. By far the best course
we played this week. The staff was outstanding. A must play."
06/06:- "A fantastic experience, played the best round of my
life, the greens were fast but true. I will always remember thiscourse and hope to return one day."
This course was built on the site of a former orange grove and natural preserve area. The rolling layout features open fairways and large greens, some double or triple-tiered. The signature hole is #16, a 385-yard, par 4, which captures the essence of this course as challenging yet fair. The hole plays uphill to a large green, which slopes in the middle.
