6/18/2009 - This course did everything to accommodate us as we were running a little late for our morning round. We got rained/stormed out on the back 9 holes. Some difficult holes, but fair. Range balls included. Additional holes not too expensive. Posted by George. This course was built on flat terrain, so it is easy to walk. The fairways are medium width and partially tree lined. However, water hazards come into play on fourteen holes. The small greens are fast and somewhat difficult to read. The plantation style clubhouse serves as the gateway to one of the most challenging courses on Florida's Space Coast. Featuring recently renovated greens and bunkers, this par 72 championship Gordon Lewis design winds 6,507 yards through forest, water, and wetlands. Number seven is one of the toughest holes in central Florida. An accurate drive and an even more accurate second shot are needed to par this 548-yard par 5. Forget about reaching it in two, set up your third shot to the two-tiered green protected by both sand and water. Even if you are not lucky enough to view one of NASA's launches from the fairway, you'll know why Golf Digest rated it in "Places to Play." |
