2/13/2009 - Course conditions okay. Food/service quality horrible. Much better values at other surrounding course. This club has two outstanding eighteen hole regulation courses, as well as an eighteen hole executive course. The East Course was host to the Jackie Gleason Tournament and an LPGA event in 1991 and 1992. The East Course is wide open and longer than the West Course. However, the West Course's greens are all elevated and there are many more sand bunkers that can alter your shots. The Executive Course has fairways that are plush, and the greens are well maintained. Inverrary's carts feature PROSHOT digital displays which give you accurate yardage and fairway layouts and also help to speed up play. 2/13/2009 - Course conditions okay. Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed both the East and West courses in 1971 around the natural South Florida terrain. The East Course has been the tournament site for 15 PGA/LPGA Tour events including the Honda Classic, Jackie Gleason Inverrary Classic, Tournament Players Championship and the LPGA Phar-Mor Classic. This legendary course is impeccably maintained and features expansive greens, multiple tees as well as strategically placed bunkers and water. The demanding West Course, though slightly shorter, is a player's course requiring a high degree of accuracy with its tree-lined fairways and smaller, well-bunkered greens. The courses offer the lower handicapper challenge and the higher handicapper forgiveness. |
