The shady fairways are bordered by huge sprawling oaks and towering pines, nestled in the shadows of Bulow and Tomoka State Parks in Ormond Beach. The course features five elevated tee boxes and fast, contoured, highly manicured greens adequately protected by traps. A unique experience for the golfer who enjoys not only a challenge but also extraordinary scenery. |

10/16/2008 - Halifax PLantation is one of our group's favorite courses in the Daytona Area. We have been playing it for the last six or seven years. It is always in great shape and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Posted by James (New Port Richey, FL).
9/23/2008 - Great course which I have played twice now. Played with two great guys Dennis and Bill from The Villages. Well maintained and once again a great attitude provided from the staff. Posted by Robert (England, United Kingdom).
5/20/2008 - Very nice course. Greens were diabolical. You really need to play it a lot to get the hang of the greens. The people were a little pushy. They paired us up with two really old guys, who seemed like they had had a stroke, and then they would come along and bitch at us for playing too slow. We went around in 4:35. Not real pleasant. The greens were so difficult, I can''t recommend playing there. Posted by Cheryl (Venice, FL).
5/20/2008 - Halifax is one of my favorite courses in Florida. Friendly staff, excellent fairways and well groomed overall. Always a pleasure playing Halifax. It's one we always play. Posted by Thomas (Snyder, NY).
5/8/2008 - Terrific course. Beautiful fairways, and challenging. Priced too low @ $58 per person. Posted by Bill (Tustin, CA).
4/3/2008 - The front nine was fantastic. A beautiful layout with lots of trees, but wide enough fairways. The back nine was OK, but the scenery was not the same. Waste bunkers protecting homes/yards helped save a few errant shots and lost balls.

3/30/2008 - Nice course. Very pleasant and made very welcome. Posted by Roger (Barnard Castle, United Kingdom)
2/1/2008 - Great course, very forgiving, wide fairways and well maintained. Posted by Ulyeses (Bronx, NY).
This narrow course features both a defined cut of rough and tree lines bordering all its fairways. The terrain is fairly flat, but there is some mounding that can affect your lies. The large greens are undulating and have many severe breaks. The signature hole is #15, a 350-yard, par 4, requiring both an accurate tee and approach shots because the fairway and green are well bunkered. There is a wide variety of wildlife, such as wild turkeys and deer, roaming around the grounds of the course. Walking the course is only permitted between May and October.
