4/3/2009 - The course is beautiful but in average shape compared to years past. Spring maintenance is a little behind but overall it played well but long (wind was a factor). This club hosted the NCAA Division II tournament in 1994, and has hosted the PGA Tour qualifying school here in 1993 and 1994. Guests are not permitted to walk the course. | 7012-73.8-130 6622-72.0-126 6002-68.8-123 5139-69.4-121 With its unique contrasts between centuries-old oak trees and scenic tidal marshes, this premier private club was nominated as one of the best new courses in the Southeast in 1991. Several PGA Tour qualifying rounds have been held here, including the 1993/94 PGA Tour Qualifying School. The wonderful layout borders the Intracoastal Waterway. Designed by Mark McCumber, the course is open, with rolling fairways, generous landing areas, a picturesque, natural setting and superlative standards of maintenance. There is an upscale clubhouse and prestigious yacht club on-site. |
