Pine Barrens 6955-73.8-138 6458-71.4-123 6032-69.6-119 Rolling Oaks 7032-73.9-132 6520-71.5-125 6069-69.5-119 Tom Fazio designed this must play and must see-to-believe, 36-hole golf facility, referring to it as his "best work." The caliber of the golf courses and the quiet location -- which is endowed with mature, pristine forestry and ample vegetation, offers a world class golf experience. Both Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks have been listed among the top 100 golf courses in the US for many years. Pine Barrens is one of only 16 golf courses rated in 2004 as a five star golf facility by Golf Digest. Golf Magazine rates Pine Barrens in its Top Ten and Rolling Oaks in the Top 50 of its Top 100 golf course listing. Also featured at World Woods is the No. 1 ranked practice facility, which includes a 22-acre, four-sided practice range with multiple stations on each side. World Woods' reduced 36-hole rate is one of the best golf deals in Florida. Pine Barrens -- which is often compared to Pine Valley, winds through heavily wooded pine forest that will make you forget you're in Florida. Rolling Oaks is often compared to Augusta National, offering nice slopes, meticulous fairways, beautiful oaks and flowering shrubs. * World Woods hosted the Shell's Wonderful World of Golf (Phil Mickelson vs. David Toms) in April 2002. * Golf Magazine's (September 2008) "Top 100 Couses You Can Play in the United States" --Pine Barrens ranked #18 * Golf Magazine's (September 2008 issue) "Best Courses You Can Play In Every State: Pine Barrens #2 in Florida Rolling Oaks #7 in Florida * Golfweek's Best 2007 State-by-State Public Courses You Can Play: Pine Barrens #2 in Florida Rolling Oaks #4 in Florida |

10/29/2009 - Great day and superb golf conditions matched by a superb course. The fairways and greens were immaculate. Great value for the group. Posted by Ian (Lancs, United Kingdom)
10/22/2009 - Everytime we play these two golf course's they are always in great condition. The greens are the best in the area.
Posted by Michael (Gainesville, FL)
10/5/2009 - Love the practive facility and the putting green. Par 5s are such a risk reward for this course. Greens rolled true and the fairways were good. Not as good as the greens. Should have GPS though. For that track and the number of people who play, it would help. Posted by David (Fayetteville, GA)
7/28/2009 - Great course. Very different from other courses in Florida. Enjoyed playing it. It is a little long for most women but was a challenge which was fun. We will be back. Posted by Carrie (Orange Park, FL)
6/16/2009 - Great golf course - would put it in the top 3 in Florida but for the price I would prefere to play El Diablo. El Diablo is every bit the course in layout and difficulty but you will find a ton more flowers and natural beauty. Pine Barrens is a must play course but if you plan on playing more than once then do yourself a favor and play El Diablo and save some money. Posted by Tom.
6/3/2009 - Another great Florida track. Lots of sand, so bring your "A" game. All bunkers are considered waste areas at this course, so go ahead and ground your club. Posted by Charles (Rochelle Park, NJ)
4/19/2009 - Great layout. Best conditions and really beautiful. Great challenge and a pleasure to play. Did Pine Barrens in the AM and the other 18 in the PM. Both courses really good.
Posted by Steven (Jonesborough, TN)
4/16/2009 - We played the pine barren four times in six days. Excellent layout. Staff was very helpfull. We could play those two courses everyday. Greens and fairways were in perfect shape. Posted by Donald (St-redempteur, QC CANADA)
4/14/2009 - The best track in Florida. Both World Woods courses are always a challenge. This year the greens were a little slow on both courses. Posted by Rick (Bradenton, FL)
4/12/2009 - Great course, great shape. A fun place to play.
Posted by Mike (Kings Park, NY)
4/9/2009 - This course is as good as it gets. It has a great layout and is in perfect condition. It's worth the 1.5 hour drive. I will return next year. Posted by Max (Alpena, MI)
4/9/2009 - It's a great course. It's very scenic and in good condition. We played both the Barrens and Rolling Oaks courses and the two rated the best day for our groups trip. Posted by Jayson (Aurora, CO)
4/9/2009 - It's a great course. It's hard to say which World Woods course was better. Both were good enough to play every day. The conditions were perfect. Posted by Bill
4/9/2009 - Don't miss World Woods. It's worth the ride from anywhere. It's true golf and has immaculate conditions. Posted by Bill
4/3/2009 - Wow again! Do we love World Woods. Pine Barrens was as good as Rolling Oaks. Again, a lot of work had been carried out on the course. The whole experience was faultless, other than turning up fifteen minutes before our tee time after warming up to be told we should have gone off ten minutes ago. It was a minor hiccup that did not spoil our day. Posted by Chris (East Yorkshire, UK)
3/27/2009 - World Woods is the reason we choose Tampa every year for our buddies trip. This place is incredible. Rolling Oaks is country club beautiful with some really spectacular holes. Pine Barrens can look like a moonscape at times, but if you can play for the fairways it's a fair course that is a delight to play. Every year, we feel our day at World Woods has been perfect. Indeed, after 36 holes this year, we wished we had time to play 9 more. It has very friendly staff and an overall excellent facility. Posted by Robert (Silver Spring, MD)
3/27/2009 - I will always find a way to play the Pine Barrens course whenever I'm in Florida. It's a SIMPLY MARVELOUS golfing experience. I just love it, as did my group. It won't be too much of a problem for me as I will be living in Florida shortly. The only negative was the long time it took to check in at the proshop in the morning. It felt like I was in a 7-11. Posted by John (Rego Park, NY)
3/19/2009 - Played both courses and had our usual exceptional experience. This is truly a Greta Gold facility. Well managed and friendly staff add to the "un-Florida" like courses. We'll be back for sure. Posted by Gary (New Hyde Park, NY)
3/19/2009 - Top shelf courses. Courses are beautiful and kept in perfect shape. They are challenging, bring your A game. Posted by Paul (Novi, MI)
3/19/2009 - Course was in OK shape. Very dry and thin fairways. Greens were crusty. Would not play again for the money. Posted by Harry (Virginia Beach, VA)
3/19/2009 - Course was in OK shape. Needed water, fairways were thin and just in fair condition overall. Staff was nice. Posted by Harry (Va. Beach, VA)
3/16/2009 - My sixth trip. Continues to get high marks from those in our group who've played it before and the one who hadn't. Conditions a solid B+; layouts (A-) offer new thrills every time you play them again. Posted by Lee (St. Charles, IL)
3/13/2009 - Great track. The course was in excellent shape. The greens were a nice speed around 10 on stemp. A must play. Posted by Tim (East Peoria, IL)
3/6/2009 - Very nice as usual. Everyone is very professional.
Posted by Tom (Frankfort, IL)
3/6/2009 - Very nice as usual. Everyone is very professional. Posted by Tom (Frankfort, IL)
3/6/2009 - Great course and practice facility. Clubhouse a little weak. Top course in Florida. A little bit of a drive. Posted by Juan (Morris Plains, NJ)
2/16/2009 - Pine Barrens was great....super layout, greens fair, lots of sand. Little things missing such as towels, tees, free range balls.
2/5/2009 - I was booked to play both the Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks courses on the same day. However, I enjoyed the morning round on Rolling Oaks so much, I played it again in the afternoon! I will be back for the Pine Barrens. Posted by Philip (Lake Bluff, IL)
2/1/2009 - Both courses in great shape. Pine Barrens always plays tough. Rolling Oaks is one of the prettiest in Florida. Great setting and pace of play as well. Posted by Jim (Darien, IL).
1/29/2009 - Course is OUTSTANDING!!! Even with more than a 1 hour frost delay, we couldn't be happier with the course. Facilities are just OK. Posted by Gary (Quakertown, PA).
1/2/2009 - By far the highlight of the trip. 36 amazing holes at a bargain price. A must play!! Posted by Scott.
12/24/2008 - Course was great. In very good shape, players were not bunched together so we could play freely. Posted by Roshan (St. Petersburg, FL).
12/22/2008 - That's the top and we will come back some day. Posted by Thorkil (Erslev, Denmark).
12/16/2008 - Fantastic course and set up. I mean fantastic! Took nearly two hours from Kissimmee and we stayed in their Villa (tip - find it in the daylight) and played it again the next day as well just to make sure it was as good as we thought. As Arnie says "We Will Be Back" ! Posted by Keith (England).
12/5/2008 - Unbelievable golf course. One of the best we played. Worth the drive down to Brooksville. A gem of a course. Posted by Golfatron (Kildare, Ireland).
12/4/2008 - Classic layout. Good value in November. Posted by George (Manistee, MI).
11/30/2008 - This course was not one of our origial choices but was only chosen because our original pick was being reseeded. What good fortune for us. This course is magnificent. Every hole is different. The course is beautiful to the eye and a great test of golf. It was so much more interesting than most of the courses in Florida, a real hidden gem. We would highly recommend it.
Posted by Norman (Cookstown, United Kingdom).
11/28/2008 - If you like pure golf, no condos, great layout, great conditions and excellent service then this place is for you. We were staying in Orlando, meaning a 1.5 hr trip each way. But, well worth it. Highly recommend this excellent facility.
Posted by Michael (Clifton Park, NY).
11/20/2008 - Another great track. Worth the trip. Posted by Michael (Broomall, PA).
11/20/2008 - Wow, what a course. It's worth the drive. I'd play this over and over. Posted by Michael (Broomall, PA).
11/15/2008 - A superb complex, friendly and welcoming. The course was amazing. A wonderful layout. Every hole was a picture and in such immaculate condition. Unbelievable value for money...worth the drive from Kissimee...definitely playing there in 2009! Posted by WJG.
9/24/2008 - I always play a great course(s) on my birthday and these two were by far the best of the week!! Posted by David (Gastonia, NC).
8/7/2008 - Challenging golf course with LOTS of waste bunkers and elevation. We enjoyed playing it, especially the second day as we knew where to place the ball. Unfortunately, we had lots of rain and could not complete a full round either day. The course drains well. Wish we could have played Rolling Oaks also. We would go back in a heart beat to play these courses. Posted by Maddy (Cape Coral, FL).
5/29/2008 - Wow, great course, no housing development. Beautiful course. Well worth the money. Was a bit dry, no rain for weeks, but still in good shape. A lot of sand, so beware. Posted by David (Flatwoods, KY).
5/29/2008 - The Disney World of Golf. Any true golfer must play and experience it! Play 36 and spend the day! Posted by David (Flagler Beach, FL).
5/20/2008 - One of the most difficult courses I have ever played, but I loved it. Great layout, super challenging and great condition. We want to come back and play this one again. It beat us up. Highly recommend!!! Posted by Barry (Punta Gorda, FL).
5/19/2008 - Two of the best courses in Florida, but so different you'll wonder how they can be on the same property. Bring your "A" game. Posted by Tom (St. Augustine, FL).
5/8/2008 - Unbelievable. The course was in great shape, very scenic and a good layout. Other than a few gimmicky greens, the best course of our four day trip. Posted by Joe (Carnegie, PA).
5/8/2008 - This is fabulous golf. I've played here three times in all seasons and have never been disappointed. A steal at the price. Long drive from Orlando area but worth every second. When in central or north Florida I will always vistit this track. Posted by Michael (Clifton Park, NY).
5/6/2008 - Fabulous layout. Fabulous conditions. Among the best I've played anywhere. Definitely will return. Posted by Bill.
5/6/2008 - If you are looking for a fancy clubhouse and its amenities, go elsewhere (please) - this is all about the golf, and the golf is fabulous!! Tremendous layout and conditioning and the price is terrific. Will definitely return. Even though Pine Barrens is a higher rated track, I actually enjoyed Rolling Oaks more - but that is a personal opinion. Posted by Bill.
5/1/2008 - Beautiful conditions and course layout. First time playing a Fazio design, and it was amazing. Difficulty level was perfect. Not much water on the course, however, the waste areas make the golf just as hard. I would highly recommend either of the two courses. This was my best course out of three we played.
Posted by Scott (Toronto, Canada).
4/28/2008 - Always one of our favorites. Always in great shape. Nice. Posted by Paul (Itasca, IL).

4/20/2008 - Course was great, we played 27 holes. Posted by Denis (Chepachet, RI).
4/14/2008 - The courses was in excellent shape. We enjoyed the practice facilities. We were surprised at the less than friendly behavior at the food facility (except during the rain delay). We will DEFINITELY be back!! Posted by Brad (Downers Grove, IL).
4/12/2008 - Awesome.....simply awesome! Posted by Matt (Brielle, NJ).
4/12/2008 - Even nicer than the Oaks course. Posted by Matt (Brielle, NJ).
4/7/2008 - The best....what a great track and meticulously maintained. Posted by Rick (Bradenton, FL).
4/7/2008 - EXCELLENT!!! Course in great shape. Greens tough, but fair. I would suggest to everyone, making the drive, worth every penney. 5 stars out of 5. Posted by Steve.
3/28/2008 - Everything you here about this place is true. It is a golfers paradise. For a warm up I would skip the range and play the three hole practice course for $4. It is pure golf. Posted by Kevin (Erie, PA).
3/27/2008 - Played both World Woods courses -- great great courses, conditions, practice facility, and value. Slightly impersonal feel (staff was generally impatient and cold with the players). Nice to play Florida courses with elevation changes and not lined with Condos. A MUST PLAY.
3/27/2008 - Excellent all the way around. Great staff, very nice clubhouse. Pine Barrens was definitely a course I would play again. Wonderful golf experience. Posted by John (Trumbull, CT).
3/27/2008 - The Rolling Oaks course is a beautiful track, well maintained. Interesting layout, but not impossible to play. I would definitely play it again. Posted by Edward (Meriden, CT).

3/12/2008 - A must play for the Tampa area. Posted by Paul (Portage, IN).
3/12/2008 - Awesome courses and challenging. Our favorite was Pine Barrens. Would play again and will use Tee Times again next year. Posted by Cary (Chicago, IL).
3/7/2008 - We had a one hour frost delay but played all 36 holes. Both courses in great shape and lots of fun. Not cheap but well worth it. Posted by Don (Scarborough, Canada).
3/6/2008 - Great courses and conditioning. The manager at pro shop was not helpful and rude and the kitchen staff seemed overwelmed. Posted by Robert (Homewood, IL).
3/6/2008 - We played both courses. This is as good as it gets and both are worth the premium price. We want to play World Woods again. Posted by Kirk (New Palestine, IN).
3/6/2008 - World Woods never disappoints. The course and the staff are just great. We will return next year for another wonderful experience. Posted by Robert (Louisville, KY).
2/29/2008 - Awesome course. Out of the way and a long drive from Tampa but worth the trip. Great course. Posted by Eric (Sewickley, PA).
2/28/2008 - Played both Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks. Both courses were in excellent shape. Posted by George (Tampa, FL).
2/28/2008 - Course was in great shape. Posted by George (Tampa, FL).
2/7/2008 - These are two wonderful courses, Pine Barrens is better than Rolling Oaks, but if you do decide to venture to Brooksville to play here you need to play both. The greens on Pine Barrens are faster than Rolling Oaks. This is my 4th time here and the greens on Pine Barrens have always been quicker. The only downside is this place is located in the middle of nowhere.
Posted by David (Flossmoor, IL).
2/1/2008 - Practice facility A+. Course in good shape. Would go back. Posted by Dennis (Aquebogue, NY).
1/17/2008 - Great course, great facility and affordable thanks to Tee Times! Posted by Kirk (Smithville, MO).

1/10/2008 - Loved it. I've played it before so knew what to expect. Greens were perfect. Staff was exceptional, food ordering system great between rounds. Must play again. Posted by Paul (Peterborough, Canada).
12/28/2007 - Always a great time at World Woods. The greens at this time of year, especially on Rolling Oaks, have been overseeded and are just coming back. Posted by Albert (Harshaw, WI).
12/21/2007 - Four star facility. Both courses a pleasure to play. Staff very accommodating. Did not mind the 45 minute drive to course. Posted by William (Bill) (Saratoga Spgs, NY).
12/21/2007 - Played both courses in the same day. Probably the best two layouts put together in Florida and a great value when played off peak. AAA+++ Posted by David (Centreville, MD).

11/28/07 - Second year in a row we played this couse. It definitely will be played again. Everyone loved the course. Posted by Michael (Noblesville, IN).
11/29/07 - A jewel in the middle of nowhere. While it took an hour and a half to get there from the Orlano area, it was well worth it. Played the Pine Barrens Course and then played nine holes on the Oaks Course. Brooksville Fl. should be proud to have these two courses.
11/16/07 - Pine Barrens is our favorite course in the Brooksville area. The staff at World Woods is to be lauded for their inordinate help in allowing our 8-some to repeat the second round on the Pine course as the Rolling course was cart path only. They could hold an Open Tournament on the Pines! Posted by John (Glen Ellyn, IL).
11/15/07 - 5 star layout and best course in Florida that I have played. Fine staff and worth the drive (52 miles).
11/8/07 - Golf heaven. Posted by Jeffrey (Armonk, NY).
10/02/07 - We played both courses and they were in great shape. The morning round was a little wet but the afternoon round at Rolling Oaks was perfect. The staff is very friendly and these two courses could be considered two of the very best in the area!! Posted by Phil (Milford, MA)
