4/10/2009 - It was a very pleasant, open course with well-protected greens. It's a fun course in good shape. I would recommend it for any golfer. There's lots of room to hit the driver. Every hole in this Clyde Johnston-designed layout is extremely playable from any of the six tees including the youth tees that measure under 2,800-yards. From any tee, you'll face many of the same challenges as those who play from the championship tees. The routing is like a trip through a wildlife preserve, from the natural wetlands and conservation areas, to along the border of the 24,000-acre Jennings State Forest. The latter is home to an incredible array of wildlife including deer and turkey to even the occasional wild hog.
