3/12/2009 - Course still a little raw. Beautiul layout and sights. Very tough to find, no signs anywhere. Need some layout on the scorecards or tee boxes. Will have to give it a few years. If conditions improove, it will be worth playing. This is like playing mountain golf, a few blind shots. For now it is 5/10. Sugarloaf Mountain is located up in the rolling hills west of Orlando, overlooking Lake Apopka. Florida's first Coore & Crenshaw golf course is carefully sculpted to follow the natural features of the land and is not your typical resort course. It is designed to look like the earth naturally created it -- even the cart paths are made of natural clay. It offers 18 holes of fine golf, elevation changes of up to 250 feet as well as extraordinary service and attention to detail.
