6/26/2009 - Course was ok, club rentals were terrible. Posted by Edward (Fort Pierce, FL) 2/23/2009 - Not the best course. Fairways were dry and hard. Greens were okay, nothing special. We were 20 minutes early for our tee time and were rushed by the starter to "get going". Big disappointment for our last day in Florida. Would not hesitate to play or recommend to anyone who is going to Florida to play golf. Golf course is not particularly difficult, quite good for beginners. Suggestions - give the girls a place to go. The course is not exceptionally hard but is still a good enough test. A good first day course if you are on a golf trip. I would recommend playing early to avoid the crowds. Very narrow fairways. Not as friendly as the Carolina Club. Facility was not kept up as well. But, we enjoyed playing and had a good time. | 6415-71.0-121 5945-68.5-117 5205-70.0-118 Crystal Lake Country Club is located in beautiful Pompano Beach and features 18 holes of enjoyable golf. The number one handicap hole is the eighth, a 410-yard, par 4, with water that must be carried on the tee shot and then an approach shot up a severe dogleg left to an elongated green. Originally crafted in 1969, the course was redesigned by Rees Jones in 1981. |
