Posted by Donald (Mascoutah, IL) 12/4/2008 - This was the most anticipated as the discription was that it is private and only recently has the club opened up Tee Times to Visitors but we were very dissapointed as for $124 per 18 holes was excessive to say the least. I think they should down play this course, we heard there was another 18 holes just built here and was really nice but never played it. Greens very fast. Excellent driving range included in fee. Staff was very accommodating. Course not crowded so we could play at a fast pace. A bit of noise due to traffic around course. Greens had just been top dressed so greens were not the best. Went back the following week, greens were great and because of the off season they let us play the Eagle Course for the same money. Golfers will enjoy the rich amenities and first-class service that have attracted many distinguished celebrity members over the years. The club features two 18-hole championship courses, The Patriot and The Eagle. The Eagle course was just redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened January 2008. The Patriot course plays slightly under 6,300 yards and is a good test of golf in its own right. It features classic tree-lined doglegs and challenges golfers by requiring a solid mental approach and good shot making. Located only minutes from the Palm Beach International Airport, this club is a natural choice for playing the day of arrival or departure. |
