Absolutely one of the area's best. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, Westchase winds through acres of lakes, conservation areas and forest. The front nine meander through an impressive pine forest. The back nine, which is demanding on the tee shot, features lakes, wetlands and cypress. The fairways and greens are framed by strategically placed bunkers, more sparkling lakes and stands of cypress, oak, palmetto and pine. Westchase offers meticulously manicured fairways, large greens, elevated tees and a challenge that will make you want to come back for more. The signature third hole, at 212 yards from the back tee, is a par 3 all-carry over water! Westchase's beautiful, full-service clubhouse offers scenic views overlooking the 9th and 18th greens, a quality pro shop and restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Westchase features full-color ParView GPS to make your round even more enjoyable.
*** A $5 charge will be collected by Westchase Golf Club for use of GPS. ***

10/8/2009 - Nice course, friendly staff. Course was in very good shape, and fair to golfers who are not low handicappers. Posted by Matthew (Flagler Beach, FL)
10/5/2009 - Greens slower then others we played. First hole is a great start. Also love par 5 9th. The practice area is unique and fun but could use one more island to help with distance. Great if you need to stay near airport. Posted by David (Fayetteville, GA)
9/11/2009 - Course was average at best. Greens were exceptionally slow. GPS is nice touch. Posted by Andrew (Bel Air, MD)
6/3/2009 - Will play again next year. 4 1/2 stars. Posted by Robert (Midlothian, VA)
6/1/2009 - Played this course on the day of our arrival. Good opening round course. We would rate a 6 or 7 out of 10. Posted by Carl (Wilmington, MA)
5/28/2009 - A bit tough for the novice, but all in all a nice course. The staff was nice and got us out early. Some parts of the course were in rough shape, but this was after a long drought. Posted by Robert (Kutztown, PA)
5/14/2009 - I am a 18 handicaper and played the blue tees, found out I belonged on the white tee. Course was in great shape. I played there in the late fall also and am looking forward to playing there again. Got treated well by staff. Posted by Michael (Irving, NY)
5/7/2009 - Nice layout. A little tight in places. Greens could have been better. Posted by Corey
4/20/2009 - Very nice course. I don`t like the car traffic through the course. Posted by Rainer (Germany)
4/16/2009 - Solid layout - greens somewhat bumpy. Probably would play again. Posted by Anthony (Vernon, IL)
4/14/2009 - An excellent course and close to the airport for a quick exit after golf. It is a little over the top charging extra for the GPS. Posted by Rick (Bradenton, FL)
4/2/2009 - The greens were very fast due to the drought. I hope play again after they get rain. Posted by Tim (Lexington, KY)
4/2/2009 - Westchase was the best course of our four. It's in excellent shape and a great challenge. I would play again. Posted by Gene Haritigan (Dedham, MA)
3/27/2009 - Westchase is a very nice facility, once you get away from the first couple of holes which border the main road. It is professionally run, well-maintained, and a challenging course in a traditonal Florida style. Besides the golf itself, we especially appreciated the shower facility and that the course provides towels - I'm sure that the people next to me on the flight home appreciated this too. Posted by Robert (Silver Spring, MD)
3/27/2009 - Enjoyable and playable course but greens in distress as a result of severe drought in region. Also, total absurdity to go around collecting extra for GPS usage. JUST increase greens fees by $2-3 per person and be done with it!!! Posted by John (Rego Park, NY)
3/26/2009 - It was okay. It was crowded and play was slow. Posted by Tim (Ardsley, PA)
3/17/2009 - The greens weren't overseeded and were hard and fast. The rest of the course was in good shape. Posted by Arthur (Bridgewater, MA)

2/26/2009 - Excellent layout, fine conditions, very convenient location. Holes have more variety than most Florida courses. We come to Tampa each year and play here, TPC and World Woods. Good three day trip. Posted by Jim.
1/25/2009 - Will not play there again, because the quality of the course had deteriorated. Posted by John (Davenport, IA)
1/2/2009 - Nice and in good condition. Posted by Margaret (Beds Shefford, United Kingdom).
12/6/2008 - Great place to play either the first or last day of your trip, as the golf course is close to the airport. A great layout, always in great condition and the staff is always accommodating. Our foursome has played the course every year that we have been in Tampa for our winter golf trip. Challenging, but fair, with the back nine tougher then the front. I would recommend you include this course in your golf itinerary. Looking forward to playing during our 2009 trip. Posted by Steve (Central Islip, NY).
11/20/2008 - Great course. Great holes. I'd play this again.
Posted by Michael (Broomall, PA).

5/22/2008 - We really liked this course. We were treated great and the personnel wase very friendly. Had a great time. Posted by George (Nashua, NH).
4/28/2008 - Very nice course. We picked this course last year and they had enough class to call in advance to let us know their greens were not up to standard. That was appreciated. 8 of us come down from NY every year .This will be a regular stop. Posted by Chris (Ontario, NY). W
4/24/2008 - Outstanding. Will play again when in Tampa. Posted by Michael (Shelton, CT).

2/29/2008 - Very nice course and very accommodating staff. Posted by Mike (Bettendorf, IA).
2/28/2008 - Excellent layout and overall conditions. The front nine greens were somewhat bumpy but the back nine was fine. Even though it's in a residential development the course has a number of secluded holes. Lots of water, sand, and woods but playable from the correct tees. A good addition to our lineup. Posted by Roger (Simpsonville, SC).
2/28/2008 - Course lovely and well maintained. Staff was friendly and professional. Our late afternoon tee-time allowed us a leisurely pace of play. Clubhouse, although well decorated, had untidy locker rooms. Posted by Sue (Middletown, OH).
2/27/2008 - Excellent, tough course. Would recommend to others and would play again on a future visit. Good access to Tampa Bay Downs as well!! Posted by Jim.
2/12/2008 - Beautiful course, good variety of holes, will play again. Posted by Don.
2/7/2008 - This was the last course of the trip. After playing 6 rounds in 3 days I can say I really could have gone without playing on the day we went to Westchase. The course was in nice shape, bumpy greens though. If you like tight this is the course for you. There was a stretch of holes on the back nine, I believe 10-14 where our foursome lost a combined 20 golfballs. I blame it on apathy, but the course has lots of water in play. Also, the course had received lots of rain before we played and as a result many areas just outside the rough were unplayable. I do not care to ever play this course again. Posted by David (Flossmoor, IL).
2/1/2008 - This is my favorite golf course in the Tampa area. It is a very good layout. There is a nice mix of difficult and easier holes. The course is always in very nice shape. I always play this course every year. Posted by Barry.
