3/18/2010 - We played South/East and the New course. Enjoyed them all, although found south better than East. Posted by David (Chantilly, VA)

3/12/2010 - Wish my golf had matched how nice the course was. Big, open and forgiving. Posted by Andrew (Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom)

3/11/2010 - Played new course which is Link style. Very nice and a good course. Everyone at the course was very accommodating. Worth the money I would play it again. Posted by Donald Nyalka (Pittsburgh, PA)

3/4/2010 - What a beautiful golf course! We loved it and will definitely come back next trip to Orlando. Not much else to say...you must play this course. As nice as it was, the clubhouse was even better. Tremendous! Posted by Mike (Oakton, VA)

3/4/2010 - This resort is always in good shape, they lowered the price of drinks, we went broke there last year, or we drank too much. Posted by Ed (Libertyville, IL)

2/26/2010 - The New course is just like Links course in UK. It was very enjoyable. Posted by Masahiro (New York, NY)

2/26/2010 - My new favorite course in Florida! We played the "New Course" first and it was just like being at St. Andrews. Then we finished 18 on the North and South courses and it was a totally different experience. This will be #1 on my list to play next year. Posted by Dave (Hudson, NH)

2/26/2010 - The course was tough but very challenging and I need to return here. The reception by the club was quite good. Posted by Masahiro (New York, NY)

2/20/2010 - Grand Cypress is always one of the best courses we play in Orlando. Love the New Course, the North/South combination has gotten a little stale. Posted by Bruce (Williamsburg, VA)

2/5/2010 - Six stars for the golf course (North/South). Simply fantastic. Best of trip. One of the best inland courses I've played. Beautiful clubhouse and restaurant, but service is slooooow and not entirely cheerful from the wait staff. Not up to snuff compared to the perfection that surrounds them. Book on a Sunday morning to receive a great deal from Tee Times USA. Posted by Mark (London, Canada)

2/5/2010 - Fantastic facility. One of my favorites in Orlando area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Give you that private club feel. Could play every day at these courses.

1/13/2010 - One of the nicest courses ever played. Got out first and played round in less that three hours. Posted by Richard (Ada, MI)

12/28/2009 - Course was in great condition. Played the New Course and found it very enjoyable, although quite different with the double greens. Green fees were a lot less than they used to be. Posted by Kenny (Maysville, KY)

12/22/2009 - We played The New Course, Jack's tribute to St. Andrews. It was a wonderful experience. We have played links "style" courses before, but this course is truly "links." Everyone loved this golf course. Posted by Joseph (Allentown, PA)

12/21/2009 - Nice course. Great service. Posted by Mark (Burlington, Canada)

12/21/2009 - Great. A lot of fun. Posted by Mark (Burlington, Canada)

12/14/2009 - Everything is exceptional. Not only the courses but also the clubhouse was exellent. I'm going to return here to play all the courses next February. Posted by Masahiro (New York, NY)

12/13/2009 - We played the Old Course. Great shape and interesting. Don't just look at the slope on this course.

12/6/2009 - Super golf course. The "New Course" designed as the "Old Course" of St Andrews. What a job. Will add to the play again list. Posted by Harold (St. John's, Canada)

12/4/2009 - Outstanding course, value and overall experience. The highlight of our week. Posted by Geoff (Ottawa, Canada)

10/30/2009 - Very good course, everything was fine. Posted by Kurt (Zuerich, Switzerland)

9/25/2009 - First class resort with beautiful clubhouse/ facilities. Played the New course. Links style course. Kind of fun trying to avoid the pot bunkers but does not have the eye appeal of other courses we played. Then again, that is the idea of a links course, I guess. Took advantage of free replay and played the North/South 9's. Much more of a traditional layout and in great shape. Would highly recommend. Posted by Jim (Oreland, PA)

8/28/2009 - Great course. The best I have played in Orlando. Posted by David (Selma, TX)

6/15/2009 - This is a five star golf course and the staff is wonderful. The golfers with me all rated this the best place they have played. Posted by Roland (Doral, FL)

6/2/2009 - I have played many courses in the Orlando area and this is by far one of the best. Posted by John (Sayville, NY)

5/29/2009 - The rain broke just long enough to play the North and South course. The course was in excellent shape. The staff was great and I would not hesitate to repeat the whole experience on my next trip to Orlando. Posted by Anthony (Westerville, OH)

5/11/2009 - Great golfing experience and worth every cent. Posted by Ned (San Antonio, TX)

4/19/2009 - This is an excellent course. The fairways & greens are in excellent shape. The staff is friendly & nice. We played the new course which I would recommend to anyone. High price but worth the money Posted by Eric

12/1/2008 - Beautiful resort course. Well maintained, very nice greens, fast pace of play. Pro shop and restaurant were also excellent. I would definitely play here again. Posted by David (Hebron, CT).

11/20/2008 - It's a jewel. The staff was great and the courses, South-East and New Course were incomparable. The only negative was that the GPS wasn't available on the day we were there. Pricey, but the best of the best. A must play. Posted by Steve (Johnston, RI).

11/13/2008 - Nothing too exciting here. Run of the mill courses, no GPS or decent fairway markings. It was okay but I wouldn't go back again. Too many other nice courses in the Orlando area.
Posted by Carl (Arlington Hts, IL).

10/30/2008 - Great course and fantastic conditioning. Staff were very accommodating and would play again. (Toronto, Canada).

7/31/2008 - All courses were good considering the amount of rain they received each day. I thought Grand Cypress was a little snooty for me. But other than that, a great time. Posted by Tom (Cape Coral, FL).

6/5/2008 - What a great course, we especially loved the new course so different than the usual Florida golfing. However, we also loved the S/E. Posted by Denise (Eureka, MO).

4/24/2008 - Outstanding !! Posted by Larry (Columbus, OH).

If you have recently played this golf course, we welcome your comments.

"The two original nines (the North and South) are now 18 years old but remain the Resort's best challenge. The East nine came on board in 1986, while the New Course, a links-style track inspired by the Old Course at St. Andrews, opened in 1988. All 45 holes were designed by Jack Nicklaus." Tom Mackin, Golf Magazine, November 2002.

About Grand Cypress North South East

North nine- par 36 2,629 to 3,521 yards

East nine - par 36 2,329 to 3,418 yards

Slope Ratings - gold / blue / white / ladies white / ladies red
North/South 142 138 131 139 130

East/North 138 133 129 137 125

The North, South, and East Nines offer a variety of mental and physical stimuli that test accuracy rather than strength and distance. The original North-South combination, marked by sharply edged fairways, tall shaggy mounds, and plateau greens perched above water or sand, is a demanding, target-style test. The sportier, more wooded East Nine is more generous, with less bunkering (particularly in front of the greens) allowing for more run-up shots. Within these 27 holes, the Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed North, South, and East Nines provide three distinctly unique 18-hole masterpieces. For the full round of 18, courses can be combined as the North-South, South-East, or East-North Course. Each combination provides a distinctive playing experience, which will challenge even the best of golfers.
