This course was built on hilly terrain and has tight fairways and small greens. The course is well bunkered and water hazards come into play on every hole. Steve Smyers redesigned the course in 1990.

Directions from Generic Directions:
The course is located off Lutz Lake Fern Rd, on the north
side of Tampa.
From the Veterans Expwy (Rte 589) / Dale Mabry Hwy (Rte 597)
intersection in Tampa:Take Dale Mabry north to Lutz Lake
Fern Rd. Turn left and take Lutz Lake Fern Rd west for
approx. 4 miles to the golf course on your left, just past
the Cheval Gate and across the street from the entrance to
Villa Rosa.
Directions from Isla del Sol:
Go to I-275. Take I-275 north to exit 20B--airport/Rt. 589.
Follow Rt. 589/Veterans Expressway north to the Dale Mabry
Highway exit. Take this exit ramp to the end and go
left/north onto Dale Mabry. Proceed to the first light,
which is Lutz Lake Fern Rd. Turn left/west onto Lutz Lake
Fern Rd and continue for approx. 4 miles. The club will be
on your left, just past the Cheval Gate and across the
street from the entrance to Villa Rosa.

Directions from Largo:
Take Rte. 688 to I-275 north. Take I-275 north to exit 20B
--airport/Rt. 589. Follow Rt. 589/Veterans Expressway
north to the Dale Mabry Highway exit. Take this exit ramp to
the
end and go left/north onto Dale Mabry. Proceed to the first
light, which is Lutz Lake Fern Rd. Turn left/west onto Lutz
Lake
Fern Rd and continue for approx. 4 miles. The club will be
on

Directions from Madeira Beach:
Go Rte 694 (Park Blvd). Take Park Blvd east to I-275. Take
I-275
north to exit 20B--airport/Rt. 589. Follow Rt. 589/Veterans
Expressway north to the Dale Mabry Highway exit. Take this
exit ramp to the end and go left/north onto Dale Mabry.
Proceed to the first light, which is Lutz Lake Fern Rd. Turn
left/west onto Lutz Lake Fern Rd and continue for approx. 4

Directions from New Port Richey:
Go to Rte 54. Take Rte 54 east for 7 miles to Rte 587 (Gunn
Hwy). Take Rte 587 south for 2 miles to Lutz lake Fern Rd.
Turn left and take Lutz Lake Fern Rd east to Dale Mabry.
Take Dale Mabry south for 1 mile and the entrance will be on
your right.

Directions from Oldsmar:
Take Rte 611 north to Tarpon Ave / Keystone Rd / Rte 582.
Take Rte 582 east to Gunn Hwy (in Tampa). Take Gunn Hwy
north for 1/4 mile and turn right on Lutz Lake Fern Rd. Take
Lutz Lake Fern Rd east to Rte 597 / Dale Mabry. Take Dale
Mabry south for 1 mile and turn right on Cheval Tr.

Directions from Palm Harbor:
Take Rte 611 north to Tarpon Ave / Keystone Rd / Rte 582.
Take Rte 582 east to Gunn Hwy (in Tampa). Take Gunn Hwy
north for 1/4 mile and turn right on Lutz Lake Fern Rd. Take
Lutz Lake Fern Rd east to Rte 597 / Dale Mabry. Take Dale
Mabry south for 1 mile and turn right on Cheval Tr.

Directions from Tampa Airport:
Go to the airport exit. Take SR60 west 1/4 mile to Rte 589.
Take Rte 589 north. Rte 589 deadends into Dale Mabry. Take
Dale Mabry north and you will see entrance to Cheval on your
left. Driving time: 15 minutes in normal traffic.

Directions from Treasure Island:
Take Gulf Blvd to Central Ave (107st Ave/Treasure Island
Cswy). Take Treasure Island Cswy (107th Ave) east to
I-275.Take I-275 north to SR60. Take SR60 west 1/4 mile to
Rte 589 (Veterans Expwy).Take Rte 589 north to Dale Mabry
(exit 13). Take Dale Mabry north to Lutz Lake Fern Rd. Turn
left and take Lutz Lake Fern Rd west for approx. 4 miles to
the golf course on your left, just past the Cheval Gate and
across the street from the entrance to Villa Rosa.
Directions from morning round:
Please ask the pro-shop staff for the quickest route to your
afternoon round.
