4/7/2011 - Found this course very difficult to play. One of the hardest we played but in good condition Posted by Alan (M19 1RW Manchester, UNITED KINGDOM) 3/17/2011 - Good amount of water and a bit hilly. If don't play correct tee-box for your hitting style, it can be difficult. Had a tough time, but if played again would definitely do better. Posted by Jamal (Sicklerville, NJ) 3/17/2011 - Second year we played here. It is a beautiful course in great condition. Posted by Printice (Granville, MA) 3/9/2011 - Very difficult course. Need to be precise with your shots. Can get into a lot of trouble Posted by Jim (Dimitrios) (Nepean, ON CANADA) 1/6/2011 - Very nice course. The management went out of thier way to make sure we had a good time. Would love to play this track again. Posted by Mike (St. John's, NL CANADA) 4/3/2010 - We had a great day out here. Other comments I read before playing led me to expect a quirky, tricked up course but these were totally unfounded. We all thought the course design was excellent. Posted by John (Millom Cumbria, United Kingdom) 4/1/2010 - This course was extremely difficult. I am just above a weekend golfer and typically shoot 89 to 94. This course had me scratching my head on a few holes. Fairways were hard and caused good shots to run into trouble. Posted by Wesley (Yonkers, NY) 3/26/2010 - Greens were good but fairways were too firm. B course, would consider as secondary course. Posted by Richard (Clark's Summit, PA) 3/20/2010 - This course has issues with drainage - it had rained but some of the cart paths were seriously under water and the course was very wet in parts. Maintenance generally poor. BUT what a magnificent course design. Some truly challenging and inspiring holes -kind of back to front par 5's where you play the shorter clubs first and some magnificent scenery and wildlife. Definitely one to watch and value for money. We just hope it gets a bit more investment to restore it to the glory the design deserves. Will play again. 3/19/2010 - My favorite. Interesting, challenging, but not overwhelming. Great condition and the weather was fantastic. Posted by Printice (Granville, MA) 3/18/2010 - Very nice, but difficult course. Would definitely play there again. Posted by Jim (Nepean, Canada) 3/13/2010 - Very good and interesting course that requires some serious decisions regarding lay up or going for it. Course was in good condition even though the weather was nasty that day. Staff was courteous and bartender was friendly. Posted by Ralph (Brentwood, TN) 3/7/2010 - A nice course. Would like to play it again in season. Posted by Mike (Saint-laurent, Canada) 3/5/2010 - This is by far the best course for the money. Lots of water and different hole looks, doglegs, makes you play to a specific yardage instead of just bombing a drive on every hole. Best course we played all week, I will always play this course when I'm in the area. Posted by Steven (Canton, MI) 3/5/2010 - The weather has not been kind to this course but the layout was good. Follow the hole by hole tips on the score card to make your round more enjoyable. We plan to include this course in our next trip to Florida. Posted by Dan. 3/5/2010 - Wonderful course. Quite challenging and interesting. Nice condition and very friendly staff. A definite must play next time. Posted by Peter (Winnipeg, Canada) 3/4/2010 - Nice layout but due to the bad weather this year the fairways were browned out. Many holes have water. Challenging! Posted by Bruce (Watervliet, NY) 3/3/2010 - This was by far the best weather we had during our stay. The course was in good shape for the amount of play it receives. Everyone was very cordial and helpful. Posted by Markel (Carmi, IL) 2/25/2010 - Challenging beautiful golf course. Fifteen of the eighteen holes had water, made you think of where to miss if you needed too. The owner was present the morning we played and took time out to explain the history and layout of the golf course. This is a must play for anyone going to play in Orlando. Posted by Garry (Sterling, VA) 2/19/2010 - Well kept. Tight fairways. Posted by Daniel (Plattsburgh, NY) 2/19/2010 - This is not a 4 1/2 star course. It is very tricked up with no idea of all the unseen water. Posted by Jerry (Cpe Girardeau, MO) 2/19/2010 - We liked the course but should have played it last since the reviews we read before coming were correct. It's tight and lots of water and placement shots required. I lost many balls. Very challenging. Posted by Ken (Otsego, MI) 2/14/2010 - Was a great course, had a lot of water holes which made for an interesting challenge. However, only got through 11 holes as it was down pouring with rain and lightning and thunder was on the forecast. Posted by Jamie (N. Wiltshire, Canada) 2/11/2010 - Best of the four courses we played. Posted by Nate (Cherry Hill, NY) 2/5/2010 - LAY UP!!! If you have never played here trust the ranger and the staff and LAY UP to the 150. Very challenging course with many blind shots and water that is not visible. Bring plenty of balls. Posted by Jamie (Wolverine Lake, MI) 1/28/2010 - Very pretty course. Challenging. In very good shape considering the hard freeze the week before. Would recommend this course. Very friendly people, too. Posted by Christine (West Bridgewater, MA) 1/20/2010 - Nice course and challenging. Would play again. Staff was friendly. Just happened to play when Florida had the cold weather. Posted by Robert (South Bend, IN) 1/18/2010 - The course was very scenic with a lot of water and wildlife. Beautiful. The staff very friendly and helpful. The proshop prices were decent, the locker rooms were clean. You must be accurate or you better bring a lot of balls! Posted by Paul (Sarver, PA) 1/18/2010 - Enjoyed the golf course and would play again, but the staff closed the clubhouse at 4:00 pm and we couldn't find a restroom. Posted by Stephanie (Cypress, TX) 1/14/2010 - I was very pleased with this course. I will play again the next time I vsit Orlando. Posted by Pierre (Bristol, CT) 8/21/2009 - Tough course but fair. In good condition (despite recent heavy rains). The layout is excellent. Buggies with GPS are needed if you want to keep reasonably to your handicap. Pro and assistant friendly and very helpful. Posted by Robert (Essex, United Kingdom) 7/2/2009 - Great course. Posted by James (Salisbury, NC) 4/2/2009 - Another excellent course, and the staff was very helpful because we locked the keys in the car. Would play it again. Posted by Stephen (Larksville, PA) 4/2/2009 - Too difficult a course for someone that is not familiar with the course, it also was not in good shape, fairways not watered. Posted by Linda (Waupun, WI) 4/2/2009 - Beautiful course, however not easy. Bring a lot of balls. If you are not straight you will loose your ball. Posted by John (Hempstead, NY) 3/26/2009 - Nice Course, was in very good shape. Enjoyed the design of the course. Posted by Tony (Clifton Park, NY) 3/21/2009 - Magnolia's a great course to play when arriving or leaving the Sanford Airport. I didn't like the first few holes but the course got better as we played. I would play here again. The service and pricing were fine. The conditions were somewhat dry at places, but the drought has taken its toll. We played in a little over four hours which made the round even more enjoyable. Also, a nice community surrounds the course. Posted by Leo (Bethlehem, PA) 3/20/2009 - Magnolia is a decent course for the price. It's a good second day course. They had the best looking bartender and beverage cart personnel! Posted by Rich 3/16/2009 - Magnolia is reasonably priced, but make no mistake, this is target golf. Some really tight holes are impossible to figure out if you're seeing for the first time. Posted by Dave 3/13/2009 - This was the most challenging course I have played, but what a thrill. It made you think through every shot. Magnolia is a challenge I would like to take on again in 2010. Posted by Marcus (Waukegan, IL) 3/12/2009 - Magnolia is a very challenging course. High handicappers need not apply. Posted by Bob (Clifton Park, NY) 3/12/2009 - Magonlia was a new course for us this year. We played it on March first and March came in like a lion. We will definitely put it back on the schedule next year. That will bring our central Florida course total up to thirty-six from all the years we've been down there. Posted by Robert (Greenfield, IL) 2/23/2009 - Very challenging course. Bring enough golf balls. Water comes in to play on almost every hole. 2/2/2009 - Really enjoyed the course. Beautiful, terrific condition. Would definitely play there again. Posted by Maggie (Cherry Hill, NJ). 6/5/2008 - Playing this course from the back tees makes it one of the most difficult courses in Orlando. From any other tee you may have to use irons off the tee. Two of the most difficult par 5s ever played which need clever negotiation. Posted by Jim (Glasgow, Scotland). 4/7/2008 - Nice course for the surcharge, friendly staff. Posted by Steve (Collegeville, PA). 3/27/2008 - very good. Posted by Anthony (Stafford Springs, CT) 3/24/2008 - This was a great target course. To bad my game was not up to it, because this could have been my dream course. Posted by Edward (New Berlin, WI). 3/24/2008 - Very good course in good condition with very good facilities. Posted by Del (Rochester Hills, MI) 3/21/2008 - This course is a gem. Greens fast and true. Posted by Chuck (Colonie, NY) 3/14/2008 - THROUGHLY ENJOYED THE COURSE AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT FOR $35 AND IN GOOD SHAPE. Posted by STEVE. 3/11/2008 - Very nice course. Lots of water. Also very wet and lots of bugs the day we were there. 3/10/2008 - Very tough course that was very very wet and not a lot of fun to play because of this. Probably would have been good if it had not been so wet. Posted by William (Saginaw, MI). 3/7/2008 - Unbelievable value and great course. A must for anyone that has the time. Posted by Rick (Rocky River, OH). 3/7/2008 - It was a difficult course. It was a pretty course. The price was good also. Posted by Ken (Green Bay, WI). 3/4/2008 - Played this course the first year it was open and thought it worth a return trip. Grass was a little thin on a number of fairways. Layout is tight but fair. Greens were good. Posted by Don (Brighton, IL) 2/27/2008 - A great experience. Posted by Jean (Laval, Canada). 2/7/2008 - Terrific golf course but the high handicapper would be well advised to sharpen up his game before he tackles this one. A lot of water in play - about 14 holes -with a lot of forced carries. It was very wet on several of the fairways and the greens were sparse. It is located in a gated community but once inside you felt like you were in a totally different world. For the price it was a good value and I think everybody should tackle it at least once. Posted by Bill (Brandon, Canada). 2/1/2008 - Awesome course with very nice greens. Very friendly staff. Posted by James (Middleboro, MA). 1/26/2008 - Although the layout was very nice and this course was tougher then any of the others I played, the course ability to handle and drain water was poor. The conditions were very soggy and muddy from some rain over the previous day(s). Overall, a muckity muck experience. Posted by Jay (Decatur, IL). 1/18/2008 - Great course, albeit challenging. Just love all of the rolling hills that line the fairways (smile). The views were absolutely awesome. Great staff! Very challenging course that we would definitely come back to visit next trip to Orlando. Posted by Richard (Kettering, Ohio). 1/10/2008 - Beautiful course but very difficult. Posted by Richard (Bloomfield Township, MI). 11/21/07 - Challenging course! Average conditions for the time of year. No on-course beverage cart service. Posted by Paul (Bethlehem, NH). |
