1/31/2013 - Was great to be back to El Diablo. I have played here a number of times, but wasn't able to get down last year. Course as always was immaculate, greens well cared for and true. 3/17/2011 - Love this course, have played 5 or more years in a row...always play 36 as it is a great value...course was in wonderful shape, staff were helpful and pace of play was great (36 holes in 7 hours). 3/4/2010 - Tough golf course but fair. Glad we played 36 holes. Many holes aren't driver holes and it paid off on the second round knowing what to play. 4/3/2009 - Well, someone has been splashing the cash here since we last played. The trees seem to have disappeared, the vines which were taking over had been mostly cleared, the fairways which where quite bare last time seemed to be in good condition, and the greens were excellent. 3/13/2009 - I love this course...Have played it before and will continue to play it for a longtime to come. Well designed course that requires a variety of shots to score. Course is immaculate as are the tee boxes, waste areas, and all the surrounding landscape. Greens are fast and true and were in excellent condition when we played. 3/6/2008 - This is a beautiful setting for a golf course, well manicured, undulating fairways, plenty of challenge for all skill levels and deserving of its 4 1/2 star rating. The facilities (a trailer in a dirt parking lot) leave much to be desired; but if you can get past that, you will enjoy the golf!
2/8/2008 - We played here for the 4th time and we loved it again. It is such a bargain, if you come for the golf and not the facilities. It is the most natural course we know in the United States (except for World Woods), and playing conditions are excellent. Directions from Clermont:
Take US27 to Florida's Turnpike. Take Florida's Turnpike
north to I-75. Take I-75 north to SR 44 in Wildwood. Take SR
44 west to US 41. Take US 41 north to Citrus Springs Blvd.
in Citrus Springs. Take Citrus Springs Blvd. east to Athenia
(approx. 2 blocks). Turn right onto Athenia and the golf
course will be straight ahead.

Take Florida's Turnpike to I-75. Take I-75 to SR 44 in

Take I-275 south/west toward the Howard Frankland Bridge.
Just before the bridge, get onto SR 60 west--Courtney
Campbell Causeway. Go west a short way on SR 60 until
meeting Rt. 589--Veterans Expressway toll road. Take Rt. 589
north--it changes name to Suncoast Parkway-- until it
deadends at US 98. Turn right/east on US 98 and go about 3.5
miles to Rt. 491. Turn left/north onto 491, going through
the town of Lecanto. Look for US 41 and then turn north on
41 to Citrus Springs Blvd. in Citrus Springs. Take Citrus
Springs Blvd. east to Athenia (approx. 2 blocks). Turn right
onto Athenia and the golf course will be straight ahead.
