2/9/2012 - Very good course with good facilities. We were made very welcome. Posted by David (Douglas Im2 5pl, UNITED KINGDOM) 3/17/2011 - The Legacy Club will make our list everytime it is available. Worth the drive north from the Disney area. Great layout. Posted by Don (Alton, IL) 3/11/2011 - Nice course, everyone made us feel welcomed! Posted by Dennis (Maple Grove, MN) "Fazio incorporated a fairly open feel into the front nine, while the back requires more accuracy both off the tee and with approaches. The par fours are consistently tough throughout, while the par fives offer up better birdie opportunities. Most of the greens are large with subtle undulations, and some (notably the par-four 10th) feature false fronts. Fazio saved the best for last with an excellent par four closing hole that plays 404 yards uphill." Tom Mackin, Golf Magazine, November 2002 This course, which opened in the fall of 1998, is an expansive, beautiful course in the midst of a wildlife preserve that features a diverse variety of wildlife, including forty-six species of birds. The fairways are large and undulating. This also applies to the greens. A distinct North Carolina feel is present at this Florida course. A pair of signature holes, which run parallel to one another, are featured on this course. Hole #9, a 405-yard, par 4, and #18, a 404-yard, par 4, are similar in that they are spectacularly scenic holes that require a carry over water hazards onto greens that are well bunkered. |
