The 18-hole "Buckhorn Springs" course at Buckhorn Springs Golf & Country Club in Valrico, FL features 6,888 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par 72. Buckhorn Springs has been a private club enjoyed only by its members since opening in 1968. However, under new management by the Hampton Golf Group, all have the opportunity to play this incredible course. Designed by Harris Green, the course rating is 72.7 and it has a slope of 125 on Bermuda grass. Buckhorn has beautiful scenery and is challenging. The fairways are tree lined, yet wide open. Water hazards come into play on six holes, and the small greens are undulating and fast. The signature hole is #4, a par 3, requiring a tee shot over water and past a large oak tree to the green. This course is one you will want to add to your Tampa play list. |
