3/7/2009 - It's narrow and very challenging for a slice or fade because of embankments. Posted by Ed (Plainfield, CT)

This is private and has well-kept greens and fairways. The greens are surrounded by canals and the fairways are narrow. This course hosted the Senior PGA Tour in 1986. Al Zikorus redesigned the course in 1988.

One of the area's favorite public courses, designed by Lloyd Clifton, Pelican Bay South meanders around sparkling canals, lakes and lush foliage. It offers a fine challenge from the back tees. Number 15, the signature hole, is a par 4 that demands a very accurate tee shot, with out of bounds on the left and a huge bunker on the right side of the fairway; Your second shot will be hit into a green surrounded by water. A par is a good score on this hole!
