1/27/2012 - The course and staff were both first rate. Good experience and I would return. Good recommendation. Posted by Tim O'Rourke (Milford, NJ) 5/16/2011 - This was the best course that we played. Everything was great from the time we pulled up to the course to the time we left. The course was in great shape from the tees to the greens. This is a must play course. I also played 36 at this course. Posted by Jerome (Germantown, MD) 5/6/2011 - Great golf course with excellent staff and facilities. Would play again in a heartbeat. Posted by Mark (Cheektowaga, NY) 2/28/2011 - We played 36 holes. The second round was very reasonable. We liked the course design. Green's were in great shape. If you do not like sand then play else where. Target golf. We would recommend. Posted by Phil (Hudson, WI) 2/20/2011 - good course reasonable price Posted by Anil (Clifton, NJ) 4/15/2010 - Beautiful course, outstanding condition. Wish I had time to play it a second time - great clubhouse. Posted by Robert (Nashua, NH) 3/5/2010 - One of the nicest courses I've ever played on, from the parking lot to the first tee I was impressed. Greens were dying, a lot of dry spots and sand on the greens. Kind of disappointing given the rest of the course. Posted by Deval (Morganville, NJ) 2/26/2010 - Nice course. Would play again but not if I had to travel more than 30 minutes to do so. 2/25/2010 - Great course, well maintained, great 19th hole. Will play it again our next trip. Posted by Bob (Chelmsford, MA) 2/8/2010 - A fabulous course, in terrific winter condition, and decent people. Very nice time. Posted by Issy (Flagler Beach, FL) 1/28/2010 - Wouldn't return, too many sand traps. Posted by Ed (Mendham, NJ) 2/27/2009 - This is a bombers course with lots of fairway bunkers. We enjoyed the course as it was a great change of pace from the tighter courses we played. Grip and rip with lots of Real Estate. Fair and challenging and shouldn't beat you up if you're a little wild off the tee. Posted by Steven (Fort Wayne, IN) 1/30/2009 - It's always fun to play a TPC course. Play it twice in one day because the replay is less than $30. Again we were able to play it twice in one day because Tee Times USA got us off first. The course was in perfect shape, and the bunkers are large. We will be back. Posted by Mike. 1/25/2009 - Second year in a row playing at Heron Bay and love it even more. Just played three rounds and it was as good as I remember from this time last year. Love the layout, conditions and the staff is the best in Florida (of the courses I've played). Highly recommend. 10/16/2008 - Nice course but way too many sand traps! Posted by Lawrence (Gaithersburg, MD). 5/2/2008 - Very nice and complete golf course. Lots of challenges for everybody. Posted by Robert (Mercier, Canada). 4/29/2008 - Great course. Up to TPC standards. Hope you have a good sand game. Posted by Guy (Whitby, Canada). 4/4/2008 - Very nice course! Fast greens, LOTS of sand (bring your pail and shovel). Nice range, staff and clubhouse. All around, a nice experience. Posted by Christopher (Northport, NY). 3/27/2008 - Another great course; the last time we played it, the name was TPC of Heron Bay and it was only 2 years old with very few houses developed. Now that it has matured, it was a wonderful experience. Scored a 9-10 out 10. Posted by Hal (Westford, MA). 3/7/2008 - TREMENDOUS golf course and facilities. Played a LOT of great courses in my life, and this is one of the best. Practice / warm up area was EXCELLENT. Nice layout. Player friendly - IF YOU HIT IT STRAIGHT! I was in 6 fairway traps on the front 9. We WILL play this course again. Had lunch in the clubhouse after the round. Food and beverages were VERY good. Posted by Steve (Sebring, FL). 3/6/2008 - Played on a very cold & windy day. Too many traps. Posted by Dave (S Burlington, VT). 3/6/2008 - Nice course with sand everywhere. Can be windy but was fun to play. Posted by Brett (Warrington, PA). 2/28/2008 - Beautiful facility, friendly staff and excellent conditioning made it a memorable day. Still has all the prestige of a Tour course. Best service we received during our stay....look forward to returning with a longer ball retriever! Posted by Jeffrey (Oshawa, Canada). 2/3/2008 - Formerly a TPC course. Lots of huge bunkers that could hold several tractor-trailers. A shot placement course - a little left or right, and you will find a bunker, both in the fairwyas as well as around the greens. Recommend you play from the white tees - a tough test of golf. Posted by Jazz. This magnificent course and facility opened in March of 1996 and has become the site of the Honda Classic. Mark McCumber says that "there are eighteen signature holes on this course." On a flat site with no topographical relief, McCumber moved one million cubic yards of dirt to create this solid test for professionals and novices alike. The fairways are generous, but the driving zones are pinched by sizable bunkers. The large greens are slightly undulating and well protected by sand. Water comes into play on only three holes, and there are 109 bunkers in the design. |
