Customer Reviews
11/14/2011 - Accommodations were somewhat dated but very clean and comfortable and well equipped. The shuttle transport system was excellent for getting around the resort. This is one of the best resorts we have ever been to. Posted by Michael (Marlborough, CT)
1/13/2011 - Great Resort a little older but, maintained very well. The course is in great shape and a friendly staff Posted by Kirk (Smithville, MO) 4/15/2010 - We had 8 golfers in our group. We played all 4 courses and enjoyed them all. The Copperhead was outstanding , and unusual for a Florida Golf course due to the elevation changes. Would return again. Posted by Samuel (Webster, NY) 1/13/2010 - Save for the cold weather, it was a wonderful trip. We will probably go to Innisbrook again next year. Posted by Michael (Barrington, RI) 11/8/2008 - Accommodations and courses were great. Restaurant service a bit slow and construction on property made some areas hard to get to. All in all we'd do it again. Thanks for your help. Posted by Michael (Smithtown, NY). 3/8/2008 - Hotel did not provide any information about what the golf package included, we had to always ask about this or that. Not the greatest housekeeping and room service either. Courses and weather were great! Posted by John (Downers Grove, IL). |

About Innisbrook A Salamander Golf & Spa ResInnisbrook, A Salamander Golf & Spa Resort, is located 25 miles west of Tampa Airport and near the famed beaches of Clearwater. Situated on 900 acres of rolling hills near the Gulf coast, it offers the perfect setting for families, golfers, or a romantic getaway. The resort recently completed a comprehensive, multi-million dollar renovation, which included the addition of two new restaurants and the luxurious Indaba Spa. Innisbrook features 600 spacious guest suites, 72 holes of championship golf on four award-winning courses - including the famed Copperhead Course, host of the PGA TOUR's Transitions Championship - a golf school, 11 Har-Tru clay tennis courts, a racquetball and fitness facility and five restaurants. Children can enjoy Camp Nessie and its many activities like face painting and sand candle sculpturing, while families may cool off with a dive-in movie at the Loch Ness Monster Pool, replete with a water slide and its own beach. The resort also has five other pools, a miniature golf course, a playground, while its vast, self-contained acreage and nature trails makes bicycling and exploring a safe daily activity. Innisbrook's spacious villas include full kitchens, pull-out sofas, complimentary high-speed internet access, multiple televisions, and washers and dryers. They are also pet friendly. Weekly resort guests enjoy free parking, complimentary resort transportation and access to six pools and a fitness center. Resort guests also have five dining options, including the Loch Ness Poolside Grill, Packard's Steakhouse and Market Salamander - which offers ready-made meals to pick up. Guests can even arrange for staff to stock their kitchens prior to arrival.Copperhead ---------- 7295-75.6-134 6705-73.1-131 6180-70.4-128 5605-71.8-130 Home of the nationally televised Chrysler Championship Golf Tournament each Fall and Innisbrook's most famous layout. Standing on the first tee is like standing amongst the pine tree lined fairways in the sand hills of North Carolina. Beautiful rolling hills, immaculately groomed fairways and fast, undulating greens characterize a picturesque setting that can be both awe-inspiring and treacherous. Tee times at the course come with complimentary use of Copperhead's private practice facility. Designed by renowned course architect, E. Lawrence Packard, Copperhead has always been the favorite design of his career. The Island Course ----------------- 7063-74.1-132 6654-72.4-128 6166-70.7-121 5578-73.0-129 The first course to open at Innisbrook in 1970. Considered by some to be more demanding than the top-ranked Copperhead, Island promises breathtaking views, endless water and varying terrain throughout. Previous site of the NCAA Division I Men's Championship, the Island course is rated one of "America's Finest Resort Courses" by Golf Digest. South Course ------------ 6768-72.0-127 6145-69.7-124 5690-67.2-119 4975-68.9-121 Innisbrook's newest layout, the Highlands South Course was created by combining a new nine holes of golf (which just opened in January, 1998), with nine existing holes. The Eagle's Watch course offers both beauty and challenge. Stretching almost 6,600 yards from the back tees, this course got its name from the majestic eagles nest overlooking the green on hole 8. Undulating terrain and elevation bring the wind into factor when making club selection. Ample waste bunkers and native grasses throughout offer a Scottish feel and numerous hazards to avoid. North Course ------------ 6515-70.5-125 5925-69.2-120 5535-67.4-117 4955-68.4-118 Designed by E. Lawrence Packard, Highlands North is similar in terrain to Innisbrook's famed Copperhead course, but not quite as lengthy. Rolling terrain and water throughout make club selection your most important strategy on this course. The course has received extensive renovations and enhancements in 1998, offering immaculate course conditions year round. Although the course measures approximately 6,400 yards from the back tees, it plays much longer because of its long par 3's, small greens and tight fairways. Ball placement becomes critical! |
