5/9/2013 - Very tough track. Better be straight off the tee. Shaved bank and narrow landing areas. Tight cut fairways. Fast greens. Will humble even the single digit handicappers. The Black course was in exceptional shape, fairways like greens on other courses, greens like a plate but fair to putt, a lot of well placed bunkers and so on. 2/11/2010 - Tiburon Black was disappointing; narrow chutes off some tees to fairways bordered by thin rough, ending at small, firm greens that did not receive wedges or short irons well. About Tiburon Golf Club
Tiburón Golf Club is one of the best 36-hole facilities found anywhere. Designed by legendary PGA TOUR Hall of Famer Greg Norman, Tiburón is fast and true with no rough and all of the turf maintained at one-half inch or less. Located at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples, Tiburón's main attractions remain the golf course themselves. Golfers enjoy the uniqueness of fairways lined with pine straw instead of conventional rough, stacked sod wall bunkers, and red-orange coquina sand waste bunkers. Following Norman's philosophy of maximizing the natural allure of the land, there are no contrived undulations or plant life not native to the area. Each distinctive element has been carefully integrated to produce a pleasing atmosphere in which to appreciate the finer aspects of the game. 10/26/07 - We played the Gold Course. Thoroughly enjoyed the layout and the conditions. Somewhat narrow and it takes the driver out of your hands on many holes, which some people may not like. Snack shop operation was problematic. Beautiful clubhouse and pro shop. Posted by Jeff (Farmington, MI)
