3/29/2012 - Very nice, played same day as Flamingo Island, very convenient for 36 holes. I rate a 4 Star. Posted by Tim (Silver Spring, MD)
9/6/2011 - Very much a 'resort' course in Naples.

4/28/2011 - Played Mustang and I had a 7:30 tee time. I arrived at 7:00 got on the course right away by myself. I had the course all to myself. Course was in excellent condition and I was finished by 10:30. Overall the experience was fantastic. Thanks. Posted by Steven (Chicago, IL)
3/11/2011 - Excellent course. Posted by Dale (Westlake, OH)
12/20/2010 - Golf course was in great shape and well worth it. Our tee time was 7:30am, but didn't get off until 8, which was a bit annoying since we had an afternoon round. But the pace of play was good and we finished in 4 hours and easily made our pm tee time. Liked the course. Good shape, and greens were fast. Posted by Norm (Lutz, FL)
12/19/2010 - Nice course, well kept, but I missed playing Flamingo - the other course belonging to the same club, which I consider much more entertaining. Posted by Ramon (Santiago De Chile)
12/6/2010 - Very average course in good condition. Good value for the dollar. Posted by Eddy (St. Bruno, QC CANADA)
10/21/2010 - I find the Mustang the nicest of the Lely courses. It is a good and fair challenge. Posted by Dale (Omemee, ON CANADA)
6/3/2010 - The course was in outstanding condition. Staff was great and clubhouse offered good food. I was the only one on the front nine and only saw the cart girl. I will be back and also play Flamingo. I highly recommend. Posted by William (Houston, TX)
5/21/2010 - Nice course. Very challengining but playable. Greens and fairways needed some work but overall the course was nice. Posted by Debra (Southfield, MI)
5/4/2010 - Mustang always a great course - lucky me shot an 88. Posted by Mark (Westboro, MA)
5/4/2010 - A player friendly course. Wide fairways, easy to score on but still a good test of your abilities. Posted by Dennis (Oldsmar, FL)
3/5/2010 - The Mustang course was really tough for my game. Mostly my fault, but the greens were lightening quick and bumpy. The grain was difficult to read and often the second putt was longer than the first. I had some 4-putts as did others in my group of 12. There were many traps used to narrow my short drives. I did not find the course very forgiving. I would recommend it for the single digit handicapper - not a boggy golfer like me. The clubhouse was very accommodating even though it served this course and the Flamingo course as well. Of the two courses, I felt the Flamingo played much better, especially on the green. 12/12/2009 - Mustang is a very player-friendly course with wide fairways. Conditions were very good. I have played the course three times and look forward to playing it again. We were treated well by the staff. Posted by Paul
11/25/2009 - Course was beautiful, and of course challenging as ever. I was playing as an 8 handicap, and enjoyed playing the course once again. I have been coming here since 1996, and will enjoy playing the course again.
7/31/2009 - Course was in excellent shape. Greens ran well and were quick even though we were the first group off at 7 am. Course was not penal and a good start to your vacation course. No cart person until we got around to 16 which was a litle late. But we will play again. Posted by Jeff (Orlando, FL)
5/15/2009 - Mustang was nice, not as good as Flamingo but a solid course, and I wouldn't hesitate to play this one again either. In fact, if we had our choice on a return trip, we may just play the Greenlinks Resort courses each day. Posted by Andy (Chatfield, MN)
5/14/2009 - Good condition well organized. Posted by Brian (South Croydon, United Kingdom)
4/16/2009 - Nice course, magnificent condition though heavily played, wonderful, predictable greens. A great first course to play after being stuck in the frozen North for 5 months. Gotta love Trevino's design skills. Posted by William (Wellesley, MA)
3/6/2009 - This was one of the nicest courses we played and we really enjoyed the course. It is a resort complex and very welcoming to out-of-town golfers. Posted by James (Dayton, OH)
3/5/2009 - Everything was nice and higher end. It was well-kept with a nice clubhouse. I would recommend it again. Posted by Lou (Dundas, ON CANADA)
3/2/2009 - It was nice to be next to Flamingo. People at both courses were very hospitable amd pleasant. Very polite and accommodating. Posted by Andy (Hanover Park, IL)
3/1/2009 - Our choice for two rounds again this year. A fine course, great amenities and an attentive, courteous staff.
Posted by Steve (Harvard, MA)
2/23/2009 - Nice course, good pace, a little pricey. Posted by James (Naperville, IL)
2/14/2009 - Overrated. Bland scenery, every hole the same, but fast greens. Great clubhouse for lunch. Posted by Roman (Oshawa, Canada)
1/29/2009 - Course is in good shape. Not as nice as Flamingo, but when staying at Greenlinks it is worth playing. Posted by Jeff (Candia, NH).
12/4/2008 - Friendly staff. Not as demanding or interesting as Flamingo. Posted by Gary (Miami, FL).
11/8/2008 - Too many homes too close to the fairways. Overdeveloped. Posted by Mark (Wakefield, MA).
5/12/2008 - Great course, definitely the best bang for the buck. Friendly people, great course, always in perfect shape. Posted by Mark (Marshfield, MA).
4/17/2008 - Course in good shape. Greens a bit harsh. Service in the clubhouse bar/restaurant stinks. Posted by John (Flagler Beach, FL).
4/14/2008 - Classic course. Wide open and enjoyable. Very good facilities. Posted by William (Markham, Canada).
3/23/2008 - Excellent Experience! Posted by Dick (Columbus, OH).
2/27/2008 - What a beautiful entrance and a wonderful golf course. Challenging but conducive to women. Will return again.
Posted by Joan (Stone Harbor, N.J.).
2/26/2008 - The course was in excellant condition and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this course to all levels of golfers. Posted by Jim (Sharon, PA).
This club has three championship courses. The Mustang Course opened in 1998 and is the newest addition. This layout forces players to use their course management skills and position the ball off the tee. Tee shots will have to be strong and precise on these long fairways. The Flamingo Course is another public layout, while the Classics Course is a members-only course. Robert Trent Jones, Sr. considers the Flamingo Course to be the finest public course he has ever designed. It's located on rigorous terrain with a large variety of hazards. Four sets of tee boxes make this course interesting for all skill levels. The fairways are tree lined, and the greens are fast and undulating. The signature hole is #5, a 200-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to an island green. There are lakes that come into play on eleven holes. The nine hole rate on the Flamingo Course is available after 3 PM. The Classics Course is a well-maintained private course. The greens are fairly wide and contoured, and the greens are undulating and medium-sized. This course can be quite challenging because there are fifteen water hazards that come into play. The signature hole is #18, a 427-yard, par 4, requiring an accurate tee shot to a small landing area, then a demanding second shot over water to a small, well-bunkered green. Soft spikes are required on the Classics Course. The new Lely Lakes facility will be located adjacent to this club, and will contain twenty-seven holes designed by Fred Couples.

About Mustang Golf Club
Lee Trevino designed the Lely Mustang to be challenging but fair, for the average golfer. The layout is forgiving and designed so that a player can recover from a bad shot. 12 lakes decorate the landscape, but always off to the side, reflecting Trevino's disdain of water down the middle of the fairway. You won't need a ladder to get out of the bunkers and there will be an entryway to the hole and a piece of green behind the bunkers. The course is designed to be a pleasure for the 20 to 24-handicapper. Using his considerable talent, Trevino has made the Mustang challenging to a point -- but always fun to play.
