Customer Reviews (120)

5/1/2012 - Very nice course. It was awful windy the day we played, and made things not so enjoyable. Would like to play again on a little better day. Posted by Dustin Theiss (Shelbyville, IL)

4/26/2012 - Course was in average shape. We had a nice day. Posted by John (Plainfield, IN)

4/26/2012 - Course was in fantastic shape! Greens were fast and true. Staff was great as we played the national course the day before and found we liked the national course better. Just a little more interesting. The lack of trees on the course left it a little less appealing then the other course, but was in great shape . Would play it again. The staff was fantastic the two days we played there. Posted by Mike (Severna Park, MD)

4/23/2012 - Greens and Fairways have been in a real good condition. It was very nice, to play this course. And we played alone, so they don't paired us up ... (it was Easter-time ...)! I'll play this course next Orlando-trip again. Posted by Sabine (8020 Graz, AUSTRIA)

4/9/2012 - Great course and excellent customer service. Well worth the price. Posted by Charles Rowan (Hazel Crest, IL)

3/30/2012 - Top notch facility has gone cheap in the clubhouse. Used to have classy engraved gold tees, now have only basic wooden tees on carts. A shame. Otherwise, courses fun to play. Wide open on tee shots. Hot air balloons come overhead in early AM. Posted by John (Rego Park, NY)

3/29/2012 - SUPER SUPER SUPER EXPERIENCE THANKS TO YOU FOR OUR WHOLE TRIP WE EASILY DECIDED IT WAS OUR BEST EVER AND WE HAVE HAD SOME GOOD ONES Posted by Mike (Cookeville, TN)

3/16/2012 - Played this challenging links style course in high winds which, fortunately, subsided by the end of the round. Fast greens in good condition. Fine condition overall but windy conditions required A game. Posted by Ronald (Boston, MA)

3/16/2012 - First time playing the international course. Very nice course I would play it again. Posted by Anthony (Troy, NY)

3/16/2012 - Great course. Conditions were very good. Nice facility with practice area, 36 holes, and great food. Posted by Douglas (Bellingham, MA)

3/15/2012 - A must play for a Vista to the Kissimmee area. Posted by Jeff (Holland, MI)

3/12/2012 - Two good courses. We enjoyed the National better than International. Top notch facility and service. Posted by Hugh Jazz (St. John'S, NL CANADA)

3/6/2012 - Good golf course and the staff has always gone out of their way to make our 36 holes go smoothly. Great location to where we stayed. Posted by Skip (Wentzville, MO)

2/23/2012 - The National course is a beautiful course and a tremendous test of golf. The greens are small and all slope away so pin point approach shots are required. An excellent course but in my opinion, a little over priced. Posted by Aaron (Riverview, NB CANADA)

2/2/2012 - Outstanding courses in perfect condition, we will play you again. One of our favorite on our visit. Posted by Eugene ()

2/2/2012 - Nicest we played out of all of them. Would slpurge and play again with money saved by playing Royal St.Cloud. Posted by Ron (Ottawa, IL)

2/2/2012 - Both ChampionsGate courses are very nice. Posted by Robert (Gallatin, TN)

12/2/2011 - This course will challenge every golfer. No trees but lots of sand. Conditions were above exceptional. If you want a links challenge, book a tee time here. Posted by Mike (St. John'S, NL CANADA)

12/1/2011 - This was the third course we played on our trip. What a great golf course . Layout , greens , service , we played twice that day. Awesome value for 2 rounds and top notch facility. Posted by David (Hammonds Plains, NS CANADA.)

10/31/2011 - Courses were great. Posted by John (Dexter, MI)

10/20/2011 - Excelent links course, very tough. We had a wonderfull time, the course was in tip top shape. Good price value, even though this was one of the most expensive courses we played. Posted by Mateo (Quito, ECUADOR)

10/14/2011 - As expected totally different layout from other courses played. Nice to have change away from tree/water lined fairways to more undulating feel, definitely not like any parkland course in area. What a great course to finish off golf trip on. The greens were in the best condition of all courses I have played this year. Posted by Allan (KY1 12PQ Rosyth, UNITED KINGDOM)

7/6/2011 - Loved the course. As a big fan of links courses, I loved the wide open feel of it. Each hole was well conceived. Good mix, went through my whole bag. We played in about 3.5 hours as it was empty in front of us. I would definitely play it again. Posted by Michael (Malvern, PA)

6/1/2011 - Both 36 hole courses were great. Would play either course again and with all day green fees you might get to play 54 holes in one day. Posted by David (Edmond, OK)

5/23/2011 - Great course! It is a must play if you are in the area. I would recommend to anyone. 10 out of 10. Posted by Ian (London, UK)

5/6/2011 - Two distinctive courses in good shape. Very enjoyable
experience. Posted by Crawford (Barrie, ON CANADA)

4/22/2011 - A bad weather day but a great course. We will keep it on our play list. Posted by Frank (Sylvania, OH)

4/12/2011 - Challenging course with large waste bunkers. It is a fair course for all levels of golfers. Posted by Richard

4/10/2011 - The International course I thought was a little hard
to play even from the whites. The greens were in great condition, fairways good and the tees were in pretty good shape. The clubhouse has a lot of history. When the wind blows, which it did, it's a bear. We thought it was a pro course. Posted by Rick (Cherry Hill, NJ)

3/27/2011 - This was my favorite course of the ten or so that I have played in the Orlando area. I liked this course much more than the Grand Cypress New course (which is also a links course). The conditions were excellent. The clubhouse is awesome and the staff are all very friendly. Posted by Russell (Burin Bay Arm, NL CANADA)

3/12/2011 - One of the finest courses in all of Florida. Spectaticular service from the entire staff. We were treated like no other course we have played in Florida. Posted by Tom (Whitmore Lake, MI)

3/4/2011 - Had a good time and the staff is always very helpful. Had a half hour fog delay but still got 28 players through 36 holes with no problem. Posted by Skip (Wentzville, MO)

2/19/2011 - A great facility and a great staff. Both courses on the compound are terrific, were in perfect shape and had a lot to offer. If you play one... you're going to insist on playing the other. (FYI... If you play the courses on consecutive days... they generally offer to store the clubs for you.) Posted by Dean (Hanson, MA)

2/18/2011 - Outstanding facility. Great course that is fun to play. Posted by John (Waupun, WI)

2/18/2011 - Enjoyed the course. Great layout. Slowest greens we played all week but overall a good course and very reasonably priced. Posted by Steve (Rochester, MN)

2/18/2011 - The course was fantastic - the links course (the international) brought me to my knees but I enjoyed every moment of it. The national course was beautiful. Posted by Geoffrey (Fall River, MA)

2/3/2011 - A lot of fun, tough course's Posted by Gerald (Raytown, MO)

12/22/2010 - What Florida golf is all about. Great course (Itnl), friendly staff, good food, great time overall. Don't miss this track. Posted by Douglas (Bellingham, MA)

12/19/2010 - Beautiful golf course, really enjoyed it, but the weather could have been warmer! Posted by Joyce (Sanford, NC)

12/18/2010 - Great course in great shape. Posted by Keith (Monroe, NY)

12/18/2010 - Wonderful course that would have enjoyed much more if the weather wasn't 40 degrees with a steady 20 MPH wind. Would love to try it on a better day. Posted by Rich (Shelton, CT)

12/18/2010 - Nice course. Have played it before and will play again Posted by Jerry (Rochester, MN)

12/10/2010 - Loved everything about course and club house(except for morning weather). Will play again Posted by Terry (Whitby, ON CANADA)

11/30/2010 - Excellent course conditions. Great facilities. Lives up to the hype, a must play. Posted by Jeffrey (Forest Park, IL)

10/28/2010 - Played "National" in the morning and "International" in the afternoon. I liked the National course much more. National was in much better condition. Great staff and clubhouse. Posted by Fred (Pittsburgh, PA)

6/28/2010 - Excellent course, in very good condition. Ground staff, staff in the Pro Shop and the Leadbetter academy were extremely helpful. All very courteous and made our day extremely enjoyable. Course facilities (eg. food cart, ice dispensers, water dispensers, etc.) at regular intervals and most welcome in the heat. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Posted by Moti (United Kingdom)

6/2/2010 - A first visit and will not be the last - what a layout and what a test of golf! Excellent condition throughout, marvellous clubhouse and excellent staff - highly recommended! Posted by Hugh (Bothwell, Scotland)

5/5/2010 - 4:00 p.m. tee time was a good time to start. Just played 9 holes which was a lot quicker than the day before. 10 out of 10 Posted by Ian (London, United Kingdom)

4/22/2010 - Course is great as always. Prepare to add 10+ shots to your score on a windy day. Most challenging track by far for the entire trip. Visuals are deceptive (in a good way) and make you wonder what shot should be played here and there. Posted by Vitaly (Merrimack, NH)

4/10/2010 - Super course. Probably the best we played on our trip. Posted by Frank (Sylvania, OH)

4/6/2010 - Always in great shape and service was excellent. Posted by Don (Syracuse, NY)

4/1/2010 - Course was in pretty good shape considering the bad winter. Fairways pretty thin compared to previous years. Good lunch. Posted by Bruce (New Milford, CT)

3/4/2010 - The course was in great shape and the greens were fast as any I have ever played on, but all in all the best course we played all weekend. A must play in my book and one that will always be in our rotation. Posted by Leonard.

3/4/2010 - Great course...all that you need. Posted by Bob (S Charleston, WV)

2/25/2010 - Good courses, excellent clubhouse. Posted by Tom (Newton, MA)

2/11/2010 - The whole complex is a++ golf. Coming up 18 at 5:30pm there was a man in kilts playing bagpipes on #1 tee. Awesome!!! Will definitely go back! Posted by Tim (Rochester, NY)

2/11/2010 - Rained the morning and I did not think we would play. Course drains well. A must play. True greens with many challenges. I stayed and took the Leadbetter short game in the afternoon. Great all around Posted by Edward (Annapolis, MD)

2/6/2010 - Great golf course. Best I played that weekend. Don't miss the opportunity if you are in Orlando. Posted by Mario (Shaker Heights, OH)

2/5/2010 - First rate, first class. We played both courses, had lunch, and drinks afterward. The bagpiper at the end of the day's play is absolutely a highlight, and we were thrilled with the entire day. Championsgate does not receive nearly enough credit - book it. Posted by Mark (London, Canada)

1/21/2010 - Two great courses - play right in front of you. Great facility. Posted by Kirk (Smithville, MO)

1/19/2010 - Another good track which had plenty of fairway room and some good positional tee shots were required such as the 5th.The difficult par 5 17th is the hardest hole on the course but overall a good variety of tactics and shot making is required. Posted by Robert.

12/28/2009 - Course was in excellent shape as usual. Valet and bag drop boys were very accommodating. Posted by Kenny (Maysville, KY)

12/13/2009 - This course is a must play. Far excels over the National Course.

4/9/2009 - It's a good course with patchy greens. Bring your A-game if wind blows. Posted by Robert (Presto, PA)

4/9/2009 - Well maintained golf course. Challenging but playable. The only negative point I have is most holes gave you the same look and feel, there was nothing unique hole to hole.
Posted by David (Bridgewater, MA)

3/26/2009 - This is an excellent course. It has a nice range and club house and a good restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our group felt that the charge for the second eighteenth hole was steep. It went up considerably from last year. Posted by Yagnesh (Piqua, OH)

3/20/2009 - We played the National and loved it. The service was great, course was in great shape and it is challenging for all skill levels. Posted by Rich (Flager Beach, FL)

3/19/2009 - One of the best courses we ever played. Very friendly staff. Beautiful assignments. Posted by Walid (Binghamton, NY)

3/6/2009 - A Four Star rating is well deserved for both the International and National courses and also the staff. Posted by Tyke (Knoxville, TN)

2/26/2009 - Make sure you play both courses when you go. Everything about this course was absolutely perfect for the golfer. Make sure you approach the club house at dusk to watch the Piper pipe the sun down. Posted by Christopher.

2/26/2009 - "Top of the shelf" in every aspect. Excellent service, beautifully groomed course and fantastis aesthetics make this a must destination for your golf vacation. Be sure to play both courses when you go. You won't be disappointed. Make this your last course before you go home. Posted by Christopher.

2/25/2009 - Very challenging links style course. Excellent shape. Great service and clubhouse. Enjoyed it and would play again.
Posted by Al (Sinking Spring, PA)

2/23/2009 - Great course. Posted by Carl (Arnold, MD)

2/23/2009 - What a great place. We played the International in the morning and the National in the afternoon. Second year in a row we have included this property to our Orlando regulars. The staff is top rated and very helpful. We are looking forward to next year's trip back to ChampionsGate. Posted by Mike (Paoli, PA)

2/14/2009 - Loved this course. Greens were very fast, interesting holes, good pace of play.

2/13/2009 - One of the best golf course we played in Orlando. Nice clubhouse, nice people and beautiful course. A must in Orlando. Posted by Eduardo (Montreal, Canada)

1/29/2009 - We did have a frost delay; played 12 holes, beautiful course. Posted by Owen (Cranford, NJ).

1/29/2009 - Nice course, excellent clubhouse, good food (try the BBQ Chicken flat bread pizza). Posted by John.

1/29/2009 - Best course I ever played, the course was preparing for a competition, I guess. The Slope rating was 140 or better. Posted by Owen (Cranford, NJ).

1/22/2009 - Played both courses prefer the International. First class staff. Very professional. Posted by Terrence (Saint Louis, MO).

1/15/2009 - Beautiful course, great condition, will play again. Posted by Herb (Beverly Hills, MI).

12/16/2008 - Great course in great condition. Friendly and competent staff. Posted by Christopher.

12/8/2008 - Excellent - everything. Posted by Garry (Kirkland, Canada).

12/1/2008 - Awesome. Great layout, nice greens, well maintained, nice staff, great proshop. A must play. Posted by David (Hebron, CT).

11/8/2008 - Love this course. Have played three years in a row and will play again next year. Posted by Michael (Chagrin Falls, OH).

9/4/2008 - Beautiful course and golfing experience as a whole was great. Will definitely return. Posted by Mark (Katy, TX).

8/22/2008 - The course was in excellent condition. The staff was very professional and helpful. I never saw as much sand on a course as there was on this one. The GPS system in the golf carts was excellent. Posted by Robert (Speonk, NY).

5/29/2008 - The International course is the best course that I have played. The greens were GREAT. Fast but very true. If you could not putt on the greens it was not their fault. I am just an average golfer but I made seven one putts in my round. I think if you play this course you will enjoy it. Posted by Jame (Milbrook, AL).

5/9/2008 - Played both courses on a 36 hole deal and thought they were top notch. Would definitely play both courses again as they are a good challenge and are in great condition. Club house great too! Posted by Lee (Widnes Cheshire, United Kingdom).

5/9/2008 - Great courses, super facility and excellent lunch. Course tough but fair. Posted by Jim (Wheeling, IL).

5/8/2008 - Enjoyed the course and clubhouse amenities very much. Service was above and beyond and the staff was both very friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit ChampionsGate again. Posted by Frank (Walpole, MA).

5/2/2008 - I played from the blue and am an average player. Should have been on the white. Very quick and difficult to read putts. Played the links course- so many reclamation bunkers and water. A must play, but due to expense I would opt to play something different next time. Posted by Charles (Wheaton, IL).

5/1/2008 - Loved the course. Posted by Diana (Washington, PA).

4/18/2008 - Better of the two courses. Very challenging, played two different sets of tees on different days and the longer course is very difficult. Great fairways and greens. Good layout with lots of scenery. Recommend highly. Posted by Steven (Jonesborough, TN).

4/17/2008 - This is the place to go if you want to "run into" golfing stars. We saw Michele Wie and Charles Howell III. The layout of the National far surpasses the layout of the International. The open layout of the International makes it far too windy and very blah. The greens were not in the shape I would have expected for such high greens fees. Posted by Mark (Flagler Beach, FL).

4/17/2008 - The International Course is a true links style golf course, with waste areas along the fairways. Also in the mix are pot bunkers, that are not too deep to play out of. The course and greens were in great shape. The greens had subtle breaks to make it difficult. Posted by Randy (Browns Town, MI).

4/14/2008 - Played both courses. Two beautiful courses at a very high-end facility. Posted by John (Ottawa, Canada).

4/11/2008 - We liked the two courses at ChampionsGate but not as much as other courses we played in the area. Posted by Mark (Flagler Beach, FL).

4/11/2008 - This place was GREAT! The courses were in fantastic shape and people working there could not have been more helpful. The pro called around for us to find a restaurant for us (12 guys) to eat at. Would go back here in a minute! Posted by Doug (Oakdale, PA).

4/7/2008 - Good Course, nice facility. Posted by Steve (Collegevile, PA).

3/31/2008 - Both courses were fantastic. We will certainly want to play them again next year. Posted by Michael (Mentor, OH).

3/28/2008 - One of the best in Florida. Great golf, great food and great people!!!!! We Love this place !!! Posted by Thomas (Westford, MA).

3/22/2008 - Great day for 36! Both great courses and facilities. Posted by James (Warminster, PA).

3/21/2008 - Excellent facilities!!! Would recommend to anyone.
Posted by Greg (California, KY).

3/20/2008 - Excellent course. Very nice pro shop. Staff very friendly. Nice restaurant. I would rate overall experience 10 out 10. (1 = poor & 10 = excellent) Posted by Y.R. (Piqua, OH).

3/13/2008 - Beautiful from start to finish a great place with very good service and excellent greens. Posted by Tom (Byron Center, MI).

3/8/2008 - Very nice links style. I would go again! Posted by Yves (St-Bruno, Canada).

3/7/2008 - Play the National first, it's a lot easier than the International. Love the bag pipes at the end of the day. Allow enough time for lunch between rounds because the food is great. We will keep this on our favorite list. Posted by Ed (Libertyville, IL).

3/6/2008 - Wonderful facility. Tough course, it is open to a lot of wind. Posted by Stephen (Pekin, IL).

2/28/2008 - Everything was great! The staff at the course was very friendly and informative, and the course was in great shape. Next time I come back to orlando I will definitely play the course again. Posted by Michael (Baltimore, MD)

2/27/2008 - This course is always in good shape. great clubhouse, course and lunch. will play again. Posted by Barry (Manalapan, NJ)

2/27/2008 - On par with Grand Cypress and Bay Hill. The courses were fun, challenging and very well manicured. Posted by Joe Ruffolo (S Barrington, IL)

1/25/2008 - Conditions excellent, very challenging. I recommend 6200 yards unless you are a 10 handicap or better...gotta bring your A game here. Posted by Bryan (Englewood Cliffs, NJ).

1/25/2008 - Conditions excellent...very playable (easier than the International Course)...recommend it highly. Posted by Bryan (Englewood Cliffs, NJ).

1/17/2008 - A great course to play. Longer than the National Course, but fun nevertheless. Many traps on this course in every shape and size, but very much fun. The greens had many marks which had not been properly fixed. I was surprised by this. Posted by Richard (Amawalk, NY).

1/11/2008 - Very challenging course -- especially from the tips. Course was in excellent condition. Need to play it several times to really know what approaches are the best for each hole. Posted by Doug (Johnson City, TN).

1/7/2008 - Spectacular course, this is the most challenging course I have played. Posted by Al (Satellite Bch, FL).

11/3/07 - Better than National Course. Greens still a little slow, but good layout. Fantastic facility. Posted by Warren (Norfolk, United Kingdom).

09/10/07 - Best course we played while in Orlando. Our group of 8 had an enjoyable day. Service and staff was excellent. Posted by Pritpal (Nottingham, UK)

About ChampionsGate International

Truly, one of America's Most Distinctive Golf Challenges, ChampionsGate is your must-play golf experience for this year's Florida golf trip. Greg Norman has designed two signature golf courses just 15 minutes from International Drive. The result is a rare find: Two excellent and very different golf courses on a single site. The International course, which is one of the highest rated courses in Florida, has the look and feel of a links-style layout in the British Isles. The International offers a golf experience unlike any other in the Orlando area, but one that will be familiar to those who have played the links courses of Scotland and Ireland. The International was designed, constructed and seeded to offer a hard, fast playing surface similar to those found on true links courses. The International, with 18 of the most dramatic and challenging holes in Florida golf, is destined to rank among the top resort courses in the country. A must-have for your Florida golf vacation and one of the top golf courses in the Orlando area!
