The North, South, and East Nines offer a variety of mental and physical stimuli that test accuracy rather than strength and distance. The original North-South combination, marked by sharply edged fairways, tall shaggy mounds, and plateau greens perched above water or sand, is a demanding, target-style test. The sportier, more wooded East Nine is more generous, with less bunkering (particularly in front of the greens) allowing for more run-up shots. Within these 27 holes, the Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed North, South, and East Nines provide three distinctly unique 18-hole masterpieces. For the full round of 18, courses can be combined as the North-South, South-East, or East-North Course. Each combination provides a distinctive playing experience, which will challenge even the best of golfers.
New Course
The 18-hole New Course allows golfers to go back in time to the olden days of golf. Reminiscent of the Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland, Jack Nicklaus has brought the Scottish Links to Central Florida -- complete with 12-foot pot bunkers, double greens, a snaking burn, and even the old stone bridge.

9/25/2009 - First class resort with beautiful clubhouse/ facilities. Played the New course. Links style course. Kind of fun trying to avoid the pot bunkers but does not have the eye appeal of other courses we played. Then again, that is the idea of a links course, I guess. Took advantage of free replay and played the North/South 9's. Much more of a traditional layout and in great shape. Would highly recommend. Posted by Jim (Oreland, PA)
8/28/2009 - Great course. The best I have played in Orlando. Posted by David (Selma, TX)
6/15/2009 - This is a five star golf course and the staff is wonderful. The golfers with me all rated this the best place they have played. Posted by Roland (Doral, FL)
6/2/2009 - I have played many courses in the Orlando area and this is by far one of the best. Posted by John (Sayville, NY)
5/31/2009 - Very nice upscale resort. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Played the New Course; was in excellent condition. Never encountered a ranger which always makes for a relaxing and enjoyable golfing experience. As a very upscale resort, we found the prices of the food and beverages to be quite excessive and the pro shop merchandise prices rather exorbitant. It was a pleasure to play here, but we probably won't return unless we get an off peak season rate as was the case this year. Posted by John (Whitman, MA)
5/29/2009 - The rain broke just long enough to play the North and South course. The course was in excellent shape. The staff was great and I would not hesitate to repeat the whole experience on my next trip to Orlando. Posted by Anthony (Westerville, OH)
5/11/2009 - Great golfing experience and worth every cent. Posted by Ned (San Antonio, TX)
5/9/2009 - Don't play this course in late April or early May because the greens are heavily holed and sanded. Its a quality lay out but the condition of the greens took the gloss of our round. Posted by Ian (Glasgow, UNITED KINGDOM)
4/19/2009 - This is an excellent course. The fairways & greens are in excellent shape. The staff is friendly & nice. We played the new course which I would recommend to anyone. High price but worth the money Posted by Eric
4/16/2009 - Will play here again. Awesome. Posted by Ron (Va Beach, VA)
4/16/2009 - Awesome. Posted by Ron (Va Beach, VA)
4/9/2009 - Course was in good shape. Our group was split 50/50 about the golf. But did not like everything else. Be ready to empty your wallet: $25 golf glove; $15 sleeve of balls, $187 rain jacket, $42 six pack of beer, heavy food prices. Yikes.

4/9/2009 - Beautiful course (played North & East this year - best of our trip. Posted by John (Coldwater, OH)
4/2/2009 - This was by far the nicest of all the courses we played. We would definitely play this course again. The others were okay. We loved this course and intend to come back. Posted by Cathy (Cherry Hill, NJ)
4/2/2009 - What a great facility and golf course. Fantastic layout and conditioning. Tiger and Rocco Mediate were there that day shooting an EA Sports commercial. Will defintley play next year.
3/26/2009 - Once again these are the finest courses we played all week, conditions were fantastic. Posted by Stuart (Atlantic Bch, NY)
3/26/2009 - We played the New Course but after playing realized we should have played the other. The condition was good but the course is very unique. I am told it resembles the actual Old Course at St. Andrews. If you like links golf then this is for you. Posted by Brad (Cincinnati, OH)
3/26/2009 - Love this course. It is first class all the way
Posted by William (Sicklerville, NJ)
3/26/2009 - Once again these are the finest courses we played all week, conditions were fantastic. Posted by Stuart (Atlantic Bch, NY)
3/20/2009 - This was our second year playing the new course. Continues to meet our expectations. We enjoyed playing it very much. Posted by Michael (Mentor, OH)
3/19/2009 - Total rip-off for the money. They rushed us out 20 minutes early on to sit on each tee box sometimes two and three groups deep. Also, the wide open format and dual greens were annoying and very dangerous. We were almost hit by stray balls several times. They should be ashamed to charge that much for this kind of layout. The shape of the course was amazing, but the layout never allowed you to enjoy it as you were always ducking and looking over your shoulder. Posted by David (Burlington, MA)
3/6/2009 - Golf. Lots of non-golfing amenities. Nice set up. Not too much grass in "rough" or fringe. $7 a beer a bit much.... 7.5 out of 10. Posted by Russ (Brookville, PA)
2/23/2009 - First time to Grand Cypress and we played 36 holes. Great courses. We started on the new course and played North/East in the afternoon. We might have to add this to one of our regular Orlando courses. Posted by Mike (Paoli, PA)
2/23/2009 - Great course. Posted by Carl (Arnold, MD)
2/14/2009 - Very happy with the course and facilities. This was our first visit but will not be our last. This was an excellent replacement for Orange County National. Posted by Michael (Madison, WI)
12/19/2008 - Great facility, we had a great time. Posted by Ian (Mississauaga, Canada).
12/18/2008 - The best courses we played all weekend, others were Celebration and Orange Lake Legends. We played two nines and the New Course. This is a must stop for anyone to experience. Posted by Michael (New York, NY).
12/18/2008 - Nice layout but the greens were a little thin as were the fairways. The bunkers were not in the greatest of condition. The overall condition was probably a seasonal thing and the course would likely be pretty good in peak form. For the money, this wasn't the best value. Posted by Wayne.
12/18/2008 - Conditions were great. Fairways and greens were in top shape. Would certainly recommend this facility. Posted by Normand (Lutz, FL).
12/11/2008 - The New course at Grand Cypress (actually any of the 45 holes) are a pleasure to play. The staff and course are top notch. I will play again. Plus your price was great. Posted by Charlie (Cromwell, CT).
12/4/2008 - Very nice links style course with seven shared greens. Difficult but fair. Posted by Gary (Jacksonville, FL).
12/1/2008 - Beautiful resort course. Well maintained, very nice greens, fast pace of play. Pro shop and restaurant were also excellent. I would definitely play here again. Posted by David (Hebron, CT).
11/20/2008 - It's a jewel. The staff was great and the courses, South-East and New Course were incomparable. The only negative was that the GPS wasn't available on the day we were there. Pricey, but the best of the best. A must play. Posted by Steve (Johnston, RI).
11/13/2008 - Nothing too exciting here. Run of the mill courses, no GPS or decent fairway markings. It was okay but I wouldn't go back again. Too many other nice courses in the Orlando area.
Posted by Carl (Arlington Hts, IL).
10/30/2008 - Great course and fantastic conditioning. Staff were very accommodating and would play again. (Toronto, Canada).
7/31/2008 - All courses were good considering the amount of rain they received each day. I thought Grand Cypress was a little snooty for me. But other than that, a great time. Posted by Tom (Cape Coral, FL).
7/15/2008 - Grand Cypress course is a good course with very good greens and tees. It's not too challenging but still enjoyable and i would play it again in the future but i would like to play the other three nines there first. Posted by Andy (Kent, England).
6/5/2008 - What a great course, we especially loved the new course so different than the usual Florida golfing. However, we also loved the S/E. Posted by Denise (Eureka, MO).
4/24/2008 - Outstanding !! Posted by Larry (Columbus, OH).
4/17/2008 - Played the North and the South courses and WOW. Great layout, greens were in incredible shape, the starters were extremely nice and accommodating. Well worth the money. I will be going back there next year. Posted by Mark (Flagler Beach, FL).
4/12/2008 - Grand Cypress is one of our favorite layouts. Our only objection is the uncertainty of the course to be played. When we arrived we learned that we were slated to play the New Course, after having played, and thoroughly enjoying the North and South courses last year. We enjoyed the links layout, but found the random bunkers and the lack of a clear visual understanding of target points to be a negative to our enjoyment of the experience. The clubhouse and dining facilities remain among our most favorite. Posted by Stephen (Cheshire, CT).
4/11/2008 - We played the New Course and with the wind and cold temperatures, we felt like we were in Scotland but we still loved it. Posted by Mark (Flagler Beach, FL).
4/11/2008 - Played North/East. Just fantastic golf. Great greens, nice routing. Loved it. Posted by Edwin (Clinton, NY).
3/31/2008 - We very much enjoyed playing the New Course. We hope to play it again next year. Posted by Michael (Mentor, OH).
3/14/2008 - Very dissappointed in our visit. We requested North and East course because we did not want to play a links type course and when we arrived we were put on the New Course and told that they had closed the other course. We really believe it was due to a tournament they scheduled for that day. If that was the reason we should have been notified before we arrived and we would have rescheduled another location or adjusted our days of play. Very unhappy with Grand Cypress. Posted by Jack (Warren, RI)
3/13/2008 - What a spectacular facility. The North and South course can be a challenge, but the facility and staff are top notch. Posted by Gary (Indianapolis, IN).
3/13/2008 - Top notch, first class beautiful layout and the greens were second to none. Played the East/South are an "A". Posted by Tom (Byron Center, MI).
3/3/2008 - Fantastic conditions and not badly priced. Posted by Daniel (Glenwood, NY).
3/2/2008 - Great course. Absolutely remarkable service and staff. Very memorable vacation day! Thanks again! Posted by Frank (Newark, OH).
2/28/2008 - We played South & East. South was very difficult with very hard greens,it was impossible to hold the green. East was in top condition. Posted by Michael.
2/27/2008 - Playing the course at 1:00 p.m. saves lots of money. Course was beautiful, however greens had a lot of sand on them so could not get a true read. Posted by Barry (Manalapan, NJ).
2/1/2008 - Played the New Course. Had a lot of trouble with their GPS system as it did not work. Took them over 9 holes to replace the cart. The course is difficult to figure out where you are going. Posted by Frank (Palm City, FL).
2/1/2008 - Great course. We played the new course that was like St. Andrews. Loads of fun and the the course was in great shape. Nice fairways and greens that were quick and in great shape. The entire staff was great. Wish we could have played their other courses. We will next year. Posted by Sandy (Missouri City, TX).
1/25/2008 - Not bad in and of itself, but definitely falls below the standards of ChampionsGate, Orange County National and other real premium courses in the Orlando region. Overall, cannot recommend this course. Posted by Bryan (Englewood Cliffs, NJ).
12/13/2007 - Great shape and very playable. Posted by Mike (Saratoga, NY).
12/12/2007 - It is a beautiful course, North and South. The starter and staff are extremely helpful. Posted by Foun-Chung (Livingston, NJ).

"The two original nines (the North and South) are now 18 years old but remain the Resort's best challenge. The East nine came on board in 1986, while the New Course, a links-style track inspired by the Old Course at St. Andrews, opened in 1988. All 45 holes were designed by Jack Nicklaus." Tom Mackin, Golf Magazine, November 2002.
